I bet you all heard about the PS3 consol affair, if not here is a quick breifing. According to Sony they have "newly invented" the Gyro pad, what it does is if you tilt the consol down,up,left or right the car or boat, plane or whatever you playing will react to this movement. Now Sony says that you cannot have vibrations and the gyro technology. BULLSHIT here is a link where a guy is using a Pelican pad from 1995 playing "warhawk" with a gyro pad with vibrations. here's a link
Sony claims that its their idea?! and that you can't have vibrations So what are you opinions?

I have one thing to say:
microsoft sidewinder freestyle pro ![]() Sony is a bunch of lying pieces of crap and wont admit that because of the vibration lawsuit they lost, they cannot impliment the feature into the controller. Their system is overpriced, it is all hype, the games have no soul.

So you say Microsoft has also got a pad with motion sensing or gyro?? Interesting??
But I guess you right this is all because they lost that one lawsuit!! Sony just does not want to admit to their mistakes. and I as well am buying the consol but I think I'll take the standard controller or I'll just borrow the one from my ps2 You know what also buggs me the ps3 shape ![]() Does it have to be soooooooo round??

Heh, yea the PS3 is one chunky console. Sony have been pretty outwardly arrogant this time round, saying stuff like "10 mill people will buy PS3 even if it had no games", expecting people to buy into BluRay at a high price just because of the brand name, ripping off the controller and then lying about it, failing to deliver on a tonne of promises from last year eg dual screen 1080p, pre-rendered target videos etc etc.
Their shares have been plummeting and they've been losing a lot of support from financial backers apparently. A lot of devs are looking at 360 - GTA lost exclusivity, Hideo Kojima wants to develop on 360, Pro Evo is going to 360 too, and Assassin's Creed turned out to be multiplatform. I suspect the 360 may even do better than Sony in the west, while many Japs may opt for the Wii instead of the overpriced (but cheap for a) BluRay player with games as a side function. :bucky!: The controller's just one of the things that has put me off buying a PS3 altogether. |

But then again, it's all about the games. And so far 360 only does action games well, even though there'll be a few japanese rpgs eventually. Maybe I might get a ps3 in a couple of years, if it comes down in price and there are a lot of cool japanese games on it.. but thats a big if!
