i have to say i think one of the most attractive things about WoW is the medieval setting it takes place in.
i checked out that Kaos War game and (based on the concept art) it takes place in a sort of post-apocalyptic world. which isn't attractive to me. but then that is just my taste. i know there will be people who like that sort of thing, but i REALLY like a medieval theme. i like that about WoW, and also i like how the world was designed. it uses bright colors (which i know are somewhat unrealistic looking) and the big trees look cool too. but that just kind of brings the fantasy aspect of the game to the table. it is a very fantasy-looking game. and it looks alot like the Warcraft RTS games. i remember when i first started, i thought it was cool that you could see the footmen from old warcraft games walking around stormwind, or peasants chopping wood at the logging camp. i always liked playing the custom games online in Warcraft 3, such as hero wars or RPG's with heroes. WoW is like a big custom RPG game with better graphics and when you stop playing, you can continue your character the next time you play and work on getting stronger and stuff. raping horde is always fun once you do get strong enough. haha
