Hi people,
I would like to discuss with you the newest anomaly in computer-terms and the policy of EA. They call it "BETA patch" and after releasing the first "BETA patch" for Battlefield 2 they released a second BETA patch. What the hell does that mean now? EA´s incompetent enough to release "Proper" patches for their games now? and rely on "YOU" the gamer to help them to fix what they have messed-up? I really can understand that games go into a so-called "Beta phase" to test the games by the ppl for which they are programmed for. Patches on the other hand should fix problems that are spotted by gamers, and are faults that should be fixed by the company who produced the game. The guys at EA should rather invest some time and release proper patches, to fix their games. Discuss!

it looks like an act for marketing...
"now you get "beta"-patches, that's even better for the community" or something really i think it's just because they want to get rid of the hughe ammount of patches like 1.1, 1.11, 1.12, 1.13, ... like this they can release serveral "beta" patches so they only have to release 1 REAL patch it's marketing |
