Just run teh program in Win95 or 98 compatibility mode. To do that just go to the .exe file, right click, select teh compatibility tab and then select compatibility with 95 and issue solved

Sometimes older programs (made before windows XP) say that its compatible with the older operating systems for obvious reasons.
just do what Maldita Vecindad says, if that doesnt work.... F()ck it! (not literally)
