I think I'll only be picking up Splinter Cell: Double Agent this calendar year. No other games get my whistles blowing tbh.

Next year I'll buy: HL2:EP2, Crysis, UT2007, C&C3: Tiberium Wars and maybe Spore.

Hey, actually, I have. I didn't think it was as bad as most others thought, though it still wasn't great, but, anyway, the demo is now irrelevant. It was from a build of the game from January 2006, possibly even December 05. Since then, the game has changed publishers (from Atari to Sierra) and undergone a huge number of changes, including changes to the graphics, the story, and optimization. Sierra's had many months, and they haven't been twiddling their thumbs...from all reactions from the press, the game is much better now than it was then. The game has gone from an XBOX game being ported to the 360 and PC to a full-fledged next-gen title.

And, anyway, even the Timeshift devs realized the demo was bad. Kyle Peschel (head of the team) withdrew support for the demo within days of its release and has since stated multiple times that he regretted releasing the demo.

There will be another demo released within a few weeks of the release. Try that one when it comes out...you might be impressed. ;)

I'm already getting excited about The Darkness. Since it's made by the same guys who did the Riddick game, I think it's going to be very good. I've seen some screenshots that look amazing.
