Well now you have sort of changed the subject, we were talking about how porn would affect the format wars, and you've gone into people buying it as an high definition movie player.

Ok you do have a point. Not everyone is net savy but that does not mean that porn is the reason to buy one console or the other. It might make you choose which format to buy.

As of now, MS has their games on dvd, ps3 has theirs on blu ray. The hd for ms is just an add on for movie viewing. Ps3, the blu ray is everything and when you buy it you have no choice as to what format you get. At least with ms, you have the choice as to buy the hd or just use it for games. The ps3 is solely counting on the blu ray format so, if it fails, you are boned

I basically agree with most of what you just said. This is going to go one of three ways. One: blue ray wins and sonys gamble pays off. Two: HD wins and ms can stop being pussies and actually stick a game on an hd disc. Three. They both catch on and ppl are free to choose which they prefer

i'm not so much into ps3, i think the blue ray isnt a good idea and thats where the xbox 360 will pwn it

For some reason your logic is not working again.
Games on HD, why? Isn't DVD9 enough for games? If they switch to making games on HD disk, then you're forced to buy the HD addon and MS is forcing you to support that format, which in result is the same thing Sony is doing.

I can't really care if the game is HD or BR....have you ever looked at any games out there lately? none of them can even fill a regular 4.7 DVD. only idiots falls for the technical gimmicks those corps are throwing out

The reason why the superiour betamax lost the battle was because of it's no porn policy. Sony has made exclusive agreements with the worlds leading porncompanys to publish on blu ray instead of hd dvd.

So next time someone compares the 360 to the PS3 they might wanna put the 360 in the betamax role instead of the PS3.

Porn may have been the deciding in the beta and vhs deal but I dont think that is going to be a factor in the console wars. For the most part I still believe most people think games when they think of consoles. Movies and music is just a bonus. If porn is a deciding factor between the 360 and the ps3, trust and believe I will stick with the 360 cause porn is freely available on the internet

Sure porn might be a deciding factor between the two formats but, I dont see it as a huge factor in the console wars. Of all the stuff I have read, heard, and talked to people about this subject, this is the first time porn has ever came up. Make no mistake though, I could be way off, but I still think a console is meant for games. That is their purpose.

I will say it again, for me personally, I buy a console for the games cause I am a gamer. I dont watch movies, music helps but if it is bad in a game I will run a playlist on the puter, porn does nothing for me as I am 32 and married. Games are what hold my attention to consoles and basically nothing else.

When I bought the nes, snes, ps one, genesis, or the master system, what was it for? Games!! No other reason! And for me, it is the same way this time around! I do not care about blu ray or hd. I want to play the damn games. What ever system offers the most for my money wins! Simple as that
