After reading about how the Necrons play, I look forward to a copy of Warhammer 40000 Dark Crusade more than ever. As to the topic, with Dark Crusade tomorrow (in Saskatchewan) and both Star Wars: Forces Of Corruption *and* FEAR: Extraction Point due on the 24th (?), this is turning out to be an excellent gaming month.

Surprisingly, none of that stuff (maybe Extraction Point as an exception) really appeals to me. You've juts gotta read my opinion in that other topic to see what I think of Dark Messiah. I'm only a fan of a few RTS's, and Warhammer 40K isn't one of them (never tried Star Wars: Empire at War). MK Armageddon is novel, but there's no way I could get an MK game with parents. Never been a Family Guy fan...I just never got the show. And SC: DA I think will be a huge negative departure for the series...I thought it was going to be good until I saw the videos recently shown at Gametrailers.com...they didn't look good to say the least.
Though I can see that all those games (with the exception of Family Guy) will likely recieve good reviews. (Though Extraction Point won't do that well sales-wise due to the inexpliccably low sales of FEAR). So that's my rant. Now here's what I [i]AM[/I} looking forward to in Oct: Red Star--just found out this was coming out. This along with Juiced and 99 Bullets were the major casualties of the Acclaim bankruptcy...and this one is finally being published now, 2 years later. I jsut found out about this now...it's gotten a good review, too. http://www.got-next.com/reviews_read.php?id=471 It's described as a combination of Contro, Gauntlet and Ikaruga...sounds awesome. Co-Op only sweetens the deal. Justice League Heroes: Looks a bit more compelling than X-Men Legends to me...I liked the first, but never got the second since it seemed too similar. Test Drive Unlimited for PC: I'm a big fan of fast cars, so this game looks perfect for me. Simple as that. NFS: Carbon: I mostly just want to see how this one gets reviewed. NWN 2: Same as NFSC; I don't really want the game, but I want to see what kind of reviews it gets. And then, after October's over, only one more week until a little day called Emergence Day comes...something's coming out then... B)

BF 2142? Yea, maybe, if a guy could actually log in and play the damn thing. And if they wouldn`t insist on making you commercially accessible thereby.
WAAH! I must wait up to a full week for Dark Crusade to get to stores here! Relic is Canadian! This sucks... |
