Any Chrome Beta Testers Here?

Hey guys.

Remember a while ago when there were news about Chrome Beta and how could apply for it?...Well, I did, and I think some of you might have also.

Today, I got an email saying I was accepted, giving me links to where the game updates will be, information on what to do as a beta tester, etc. Anyway, it seemed like a nice game (judging by the screenshots I had seen and things I had read), though if we'll have to pay a monthly fee to play it online, I won't buy it. Anyway, I was wondering if any of you had signed up and gotten accepted, or if I was one of the first people or last people...

I just downloaded the whole beta from FilePlanet, about to go play.

We should hook up on a messenger or something.

Hehe...Well, so far, I've only played part of the first level and spent my time on the Chrome beta test forums reading what bugs others found and submitted some myself.

I think the game's pretty good. Â*The engine seems great. Â*It has huge outdoor and indoor environments and with everything on max (actually, they don't allow "max" details, since some things only go up to "normal" and such) I got great frame rates (I don't think it ever went under 30), though when you get a new message or something new happens, it spikes (for a couple of frames).

In the first mission, you start off outside some little forest with a teamate who talks to you (tells you what to do, says "don't run off, we have to stick together", "take out that sniper!"..."Get up on that tower, take his sniper and cover me!"). You open a crate, grab some weapons and equipment (a pistol, a riffle, some health packs and binoculars) and put them in your inventory like in an RPG (and you can check dead bodies for items and take them). Â*Afterwards, you go with your teamate through the little forest, kill a couple of people, cross a little river (a bridge) after taking out some enemies, then see a huge...Facility and a sniper on a tower near it. Â*Your friend goes in after you take the sniper's place and you snipe some people who are around the building, then some enemy backup arrives, there's a buggy with a machinegun on top and two guys in it...You take 'em out, then you should be able to take the buggy (but it doesn't seem to work for anyone), you go inside the building, meet some chick, help your friend, etc. Â*I really haven't played it much, but there's always a lot of objectives for each mission.

Anywho, all I can say is that so far, the level's great, the performance is too, the models are nice, the animations are fine, the bodies have physics (like karma physics) and they don't disappear after a while, so you can keep shooting them...When you shoot someone in the face, for example, they'll have blood on their face, so you can tell when someone's hurt, since they have blood all over (even your teamate) and the more you shoot, the bloodier they look.

I think it's a good game and it will definitely be great online (though I haven't tried that). Â*People talked about having all kinds of vehicles to drive around, hacking computers and something about "tickets"...I guess you can buy things with them...I dunno yet. Â*It also runs smoothly (like normal games), and it's only a beta, so that's really nice.

Well, that's about as well as I can describe it for now. Â*Good game so far.

well, from what u described it looks like a verry playable game, infact a very sharp 1 especially from the pics-n-all. I wasn't on time to apply for the beta,but i did get in for the planetside,....but it still hasnt come in the mail yet,.....

well..i cant wait to get it when it comes out ...it's been cool typ'n 2 u-all. hehe

The game is pretty. The first level is in a forest with some snipers and some big buildings. Nice physics. Had some bugs.
