Okay I found a decent converter, it converts my video files to psp video mpeg4 format, the problem is I drag the converted movie into my "video" folder on my psp's memory stick and the psp says the movies on there but it will not play it, just says can not playback video, I tried converting it to ipod mpeg4 video as well, same deal!!
I s there anyone out there that owns a PSP and knows anything about this?? do I have to update the firm ware on this bad boy maybe?? I'm running version 2.82 now I believe.

Please Help!! :bucky!:

you need to create a specific folder and I know it's a hastle, so:

11. Be careful where you place the video file on the Memory Stick. Unlike music and picture files, your video files need to be placed outside of the "PSP" folder. Create a folder called "MP_ROOT" and inside that folder create another folder named "100MNV01." That is the folder you need to copy your encoded video files to.

12. Be careful how your video files have been named. Programs like iPSP will properly name your video files automatically. Naming your MP4 files "24_Season_3.MP4" won't work. The files need to be named like this: "M4V00000.MP4"; you can change the numbers "00000" to fit your preference (like "M4V00027.MP4").

13. You're done! If you get stuck on any of the above steps, scour internet message boards for help. Hundreds of philanthropic techies will be explaining the above steps on forums come March 24, and thousands of others will be pleading for their help.

Also use PSP Video 9 because it encodes and transfers the video into appropriate folder, you need it to be connected when you do.

You don't have to rename it anymore! Nor do you need to put it in NMV####.mp4 garbage anymore. If you got 24.99 go to Best Buy or another Gaming store and ge the PSP converter from Sony, the price is meh but my friend has one and if the video isnt the right version it'll convert for you. Also all you have to do after patch 3.## or something all you have to do is stick it in the VIDEO folder. It'll look something like this

ROOT_
\
VIDEO_
\
WorldofRogueCraft2.mp4
Swifty.mp4
blah blah blah.mp4

There ya go!

Also most movies I have on my PSP are from Video.google.com
