You guys need to just drop the Direct X 10 crap until there are games that make a difference. Jesus Christ on a pogo stick! What the hell? Vista isn't worth all this silly fighting. It JUST came out and you guys act like it is the only new OS to ever hit the market. Who gives two squirts if you have the money to waste on it before you really need to?

Well I've been running Vista Home Premium 32-bit for a day now. I don't give a crap
about DX10, but I'm happy. I like the new setup. I'll be happier when Nvidia get's a
SLI gpu driver. But on a plus note, Nvidia has released a Vista NForce Chipset Driver
today that covers almost all of there chipsets except the old NFoce 1 & 2 :-)

Mac's are definitely good for more than schoolwork. A major amount of graphic designers prefer Mac's over PC's.

I just use my mac for writting stuff which i could also do on a wintel. but I just like the mac more since i never had any problems with apple

Wrong, back in 1990 maybe, but not thesedays.

You may also be interested to now, that a lot of new macs come with Vista pre-installed... not mac os. Current macs are in fact PCs with Core2Duo CPUs. Things have changed. I frequent 2 graphics houses as a couple of my friends are professionals and there entire network is PCs running Windows and Linux for services.

There are no distinct advantages to running Photoshop on macs, with the exception that most macs come with better screens than the average PC. A modern PC is far better performing than a mac.

Personally I like em both, but I would rather a PC, because its upgradable.
