That's true. Well, if you really wanna play warez you can always get the Wii or 360 since both have been cracked. They are both cheaper then the PS3 so I if you look at it like that then that's a win win situation too

Sony have said in the past that backwards compatibility will eventually be achieved by software emulation - the initial production of PS3s had to have PS/PS2 firmware chips onboard because the emulation software was not ready for production release. Its always been on the cards as a way of reducing costs so if anybody has read any news on the on-going PS3 production development this snippet of news should come as no surprise - its getting blown up out of all proportion and Sony's stupid spin on the reason why doesn't help their case much. why can't they just say this makes it cheaper and, probably, easier to keep compatibility going forward. The press seem to love nibbling away at the PS3, but I agree Sony don't help their case much, some of these execs are so full of (sh)it, one wonders how they got where they are!

I really think most gamers want a PS3 it is just Sony's cockiness paired with the fact that they don't seem to care about their customers anymore that is the problem.

It is supposed to be a game machine not a computer like they like to claim! Games are always what makes a console not the name or the other crap most people don't care about like blu-ray. Taking away bc is not a good move on their part and I would think that most gamers agree.

That HD crap does nothing for me! I want to play games dammit! The PS3 can be good but, they are screwing themselves every other day!
