wow guys this is getting a little out of control.
lets step back and think about what we are fighting over.
its a video game console. my mother used to take ours aways for weeks on end when the drunk monkey and i fought this much over the snes genisis nes sega satrun....... well you name it we had it except for the jag. 3d0 and neogeo.
i have loved sony's game systems the ps1 and ps2 rock. still own a psone actually. however the ps3 is just too pricey for me.
the problems w/ bc are a real concern for me but luckily i don't live in europe. but just look at the ps2 the first fat one worked great w/ my ps1 games but the slim one i had to buy because of laser alignment issues w/ the fat one doesn't work w/ half of the ps1 games i own. so its just not worth it to me to buy a ps3 can't play all my old games so it doesn't actually replace my last two machines i still have to have them to play my old games. it cost too dang much for my poor self to afford. if they fix these issues i may buy one in the future but for right now i'll stick w/ my wii, ps2, ps1, gc, and dc.

Yeah I still have a PS1 and 2 and have owned them since the launch dates. I'm not a PS3 basher, but I really think that this is another kick in the balls, regardless of how long its going to take Sony to rectify the problem. Obviously when they do eventually fix the issue it will be a benefit to run BC games at higher resolution etc. But the key word is when because we can only estimate until further information is expressed. People at the Euro PS3 launch will have limited BC and that's definitely a drawback in my eyes.
There, I've explained myself a bit better than time. Hitman If you don't agree with my opinion that's fine, I'm just some guy off a forum anyway. I'm sorry for the avatar remark then, I didn't realise.

Any innovation to a product is a step ahead for consumers. Sure NXS his comment sounds great if you quickly glance at it, but what if we had never put an engine on our cars. Surely horsepower would have helped us achieve our goals too, but in a slower way. Same goes for the innovations that the PS3 brings, Bluray has dramaticly increased the quality of our current dvd standard and features like the cell processor and their special soundchip. Lets not forget that their online service is free and works just as great as Xtra cash out of your fantard pocket live
I don't worry a bit about the PS3 winning this battle or not. I even assume it wont because Nintendo simply hit the jackpot with the inferiour Gamecube mod with pointystick, let them have it. Nintendo has been known for their creativity and although I'm not a young kiddo anymore I can imagine that they wanna play on it. As far as the battle between the 360 and PS3 goes, we all know that those peeps that have been screaming the hardest up till know will get one when they finaly get the cash for it.
Surely the net is humming with negative comments about the PS3, even with really low comments from the bitch at Nintendo who joked about having to duck while waiting in line for a PS3 (referring to the unfortunate shooting) but that just displays more about her personality. Same goes for all the people that are badmouthing Sony right now, it displays a lack of character on their side and those that edit someones avatar because of a lack of real conversationskills without the person himself being able to respond to that top that list.

Nintendo might have the inferior machine but I tell you it got something much more important that the PS3 lacks right now :fun games...even only a handful but PS3 got none...none like 0

I don't really see the fun in watching some legless peeps playing on a extremely grainy lowres tenniscourt, same goes for the mediocre Raving rabbits game. Same goes for Zelda, I've had it with games trying to prolong gameplay by having you walk to point B just to send you back to point A where you started and calling it a quest. Sony has enough no brainer Wii games availible online, you should have checked it before assuming the worst
