I loved the first two Thief games as much as I loved Deus Ex, and I'm waiting for their respective sequels very eagerly.
There has been quite a bit of info about Deus Ex 2 lately (though certainly not as much as I would like), but not so much as a drop of info or single screenshot of Thief 3.
Now I imagine this will all change once E3 rolls around, but I'm impatient and was wondering if anyone knew anything that might tide me over until then.

That's actually a pretty good question. On several occasions I've tried researching Thief 3, looking for any way to contact the developers etc, but with very little luck. There are some tidbits here and there, but most of that is old and not very informative. I'm pretty sure you'll just have to do like the rest of us and wait for E3..

Errrr.... Didn't the developer company go bankrupt or ceased to exist for some other reason? I don't know why, but I believe I read somewhere that there'll be no Thief 3...

Some news
| Quote | As posted about a month ago, XBox Magazine was going to print a Thief III first look in their May '03 issue. However, upon purchasing and reviewing the magazine yesterday, I discovered no Thief related info whatsoever. After three or four scans through I did find the tidbit of info I was looking for. The Thief III first look has been held over for next months mag. Luckily, the update has been bumped up from a 'first look' to an official 'preview'. So we may see Thief III running not so far behind Deus Ex: Invisible War. The June Issue of XBox Magazine will hit newsstands a month from now. Don't forget to get your copy if you're hard up for some new screenshots. I don't know if ION will post any new screens to the web, but I won't be able to scan screens from a magazine and post them here due to copyright laws.
I apologize to anyone who already bought the magazine hoping to see some Thief III stuff, but perhaps delaying the preview a month will add more goodies to the mix...[/b][/quote]

Hi!
The works are still in progress. A german PC Magazine has already seen the game as it is now ( www.gamestar.de , search for Dark Project 3 as it is called in europe ) After Looking Glass was closed, Warren Spector bought the Thief rights and employed almost the whole original crew to keep the Thief feeling and look. www.thief3.com shows some concept art, some days ago there came up a new one i the net. Hope I could help!

OK, for all the non-german-speakers I´ve translated the latest two articles from www.gamestar.de
I´m a german native speaker, so there might be small mistakes in the grammar.

Thief 3: we saw it!
While we visited ION Storm in Austin/Texas we were allowed to take a -very small- look at Thief 3. The third installement in the saga, known as Dark Project in Germany, has excellent graphics, phantastic shadow effects and extremely real looking character models. Who hated the jump passages in the first two games because you never knew when Garrett reached an edge will be relieved to her that in Thief 3 you can see his feet for the first time when you look down. Also better: when your´re lockpicking, you see Garrett´s hands actually working at the door. Unfortunately there´re still no picture available.
Thief 3 will be, as well as Deus Ex 2, build with a modificated Unreal-Warfare-Engine. The physics are made by the Havoc engine.

Thief 3: new concept art!
As you may know, it´s the small things that count. In the actual International Game Developers Association calendar you´ll find a new concept art of Thief 3 (aka Dark Project 3) developed by ION Storm. This was posted by the fansite "The Circle" ( www.thief-thecircle.com ). When the game will be released is not known.

I hope this helps!
