New Bioshock Footage

Nope, Plasmids are comparable to Cyberware in Deus Ex. Stuff to make you faster, survive better or give you certain abilities..

Oh, neat. Can you pick and choose which you use to give yourself certain kinds of abilities I wonder - like design what kind of fighter/player you want to be?

So far I do like that the game seems to be giving you a lot of choices, and letting you determine how exactly you are going to play the game - and what "kind" of character (good, morally gray, etc), you get to be.

Apparently, according to the official site - they're also going to have a Collector's Edition of the game made, and you can go now and vote on what you'd like to get as part of a limted edition. I think it's definitely pretty cool that 2K is willing to let the fans have a vote, and say what they'd like to see as part of it. I voted for the artwork, myself - the drawings or concepts of how they made some of this stuff would be AWESOME.

As far as I heard you can highly customize your gameplay-style by plasmids...

That is fantastic!! This game is going to have freaking incredible replay ability - if you can change and customize your gameplay experience everytime you play it. (I am a big fan of playing like that sometimes - making myself be super good or super basic on purpose or something.) How awesome!

This is THE game i'm looking forward to over all else this year. Others include GTAIV, Crysis, UT3, FORZA2, PGR4 but Bioshock holds the most promise right now.

The only question is, will I get it for my 360 or (by then) uber PC? (ok, easy answer - PC, it is an FPS after all)

greylantern, me too. the more I see about this game, the more new stuff that is out there, the more i get excited. i cannot wait until august! there are a lot of must-buys out there for me this year, but this one is on the top of the list, because it just looks that good.

If anyone is interested, there's some pretty cool podcasts done by the developers up at the official site - and some of them are really interesting about how they came up with various ideas and how the game got made.

This does look like a very promising game, love the nineteen fifty's look - it really adds character + that little girl taking the blood (or whatever that stuff is) is downright freaky .

will BioShock be DX10 capable?
