New Bioshock Footage

Have you guys seen this new Hunting the Big Daddy footage from Bioshock? Where have I been, because this looks absolutely amazing! what is that little girl doing with the dead body!?!

I think, just from looking at that clip that this might be tha game of the year for me! I can't wait to see more of it. Thoughts?

Actually, sheÂ´s absorbing genetic material, which functions as some sort of cash aboard this deep sea station, where the game takes place.
Looks great, doesnÂ´t it? ;)

I promise you, it will be game of the year...Remember System Shock 1/2? ItÂ´s the inofficial follow-up. It looks awesome, and the coders know their trade, because of the predecessors. the athmo and the fallout-like 50Â´s style is absolutely breathtaking.

Wow, the more I see about this, the more I am just blown away. I think that what I like the most is that this looks like such a innovative twist on the traditional FPS format. Everyone keep the links to various stuff coming.

I REALLY like all the footage and trailers that I have seen so far. Some of the screenshots are just crazy looking.

So, the little girl is absorbing genetic material. Gross. Yet, awesome. I read that you can get a bonus, basically, if you kill that little girl and *take* the genetic material stuff, but I don't know if I could do that very often, because her backing away screaming was really disturbing to me, on one level. I think it's cool that it gives you the choice, though - how many options do you get for getting whatever this genetic stuff is? What would y'all do?

(Dude, I am so excited for this game. Eeek!)

The designers had said at one point that they intentionally made ammunition and plasmids very rare in the game in order to force the players into awkward situations. Do you suffer through the game on no ammo and no plasmids, or do you make your own life easier by killing the little girl and stealing her genetic material? I'm really looking forward to this game. System Shock 2 is one of my favorite games of all times and Bioshock is looking even better.

that's SO cool. I love that kind of thing - that the game is more than just, like, mindless shooting or something, but that it involves actual choices with consequences that can affect how your game experience goes. I am already so impressed with the developers just from what I have heard. Like, this seems to be just the evolution of the FPS genre to me, sort of.

Which is a plasmid again? Is that a weapon or a health thing?
