Question for PC gamers playing XBOX 360

From what I have been reading a lot of PC players recently purchased the XBOX 360 in the last few months.

These gamers that purchased the XBOX 360 AND have been playing a significant amount of gaming are in a unique position to give qualified conclusions on a variety of topics.

I am NOT interested in the comments of PC only gamers.
I am NOT interested in the comments of long-time XBOX 360 players and console fanboys.
I am ONLY interested in the comments of longtime PC gamers that have purchased the XBOX 360 within the last 12 months.

I would REALLY appreciate honest and thorough responses to each of the sections. If I missed an area or topic, please add those comments. Thanks for taking the time!

o What reasons did you have for purchasing the XBOX 360?

o Was the purchase worth it? Should you have tried XBOX 360 sooner?

o Do you see PC vs. Console debates differently now? If so, how?

o Have you tried XBOX 360 ranked and public matches? How are they different than ranked and public matches for PC?

o Is the average player on XBOX 360 what you expected? Are their any misconceptions you found to be untrue?

o Have you been able to find mature adult gamers online on the 360?

o Are your XBOX 360 friends characteristically different from PC friends? If so, how?

o Are you finding that you can have the same kind of game experience on the XBOX 360 that you had in PC gaming? If not, how does it differ?

o Please comment on the convenience (or inconvenience) of the 360.

o With crossover titles like the Ghost Recon series…..are tactics, camaraderie, and fun different on the 360?

o Do you miss the availability of “mods� and user content?

o If you have purchased download content, how do you feel about the purchase? Was it worth it? Are you comfortable with pay-for content added to games in this way?

o If you find that you rarely play the PC any more, what do you miss about PC gaming? (other than the people that didn’t switch)

o How would you describe the level of cheating and glitching on the 360? Please compare it to the level of cheating and glitching you find on PC games.

o For “shooters� specifically, please provide conclusions on controlling your character with the controller instead of keyboard/mouse.

o Do you still play a lot of PC games?

1. I didn't buy one, I won one in a contest.

2. No, even a free 360 sucks when it breaks down.

3. Yes, the pc and my PS3 rule. 360 would have been fun if it wasn't a bad and cheap design.

4. A few, they are basicly the same as on the pc or any platform. Ranked games are filled with better and more mature players.

5. Not a lot actually, then again, most mature players don't scream trough their mics all people are noobs so who knows how many there were. it seems filled with kids but
there have to be mature players around, I am and there must be more.

6. With real people you can't expect anything really. That's what makes mp gaming so much fun. The level of unpredictable behaviour is always great, no matter if it's pc, 360 or whatever.

8. I prefer wsad and mouse myself. Racing is great on a console though

9. Inconvenience mostly, it broke down.

10. Not really actually, it's the gamer that makes any of the factors you wrote down, not the pc or console.

11. Yes, if all consoles didn't have this functionality it would have been easier to swallow but Sony just announced it's gonna allow it so it sure is a huge letdown on the 360 for me. However, the biggest mistake they made is having to pay to get online and not even offering browsing ability. The Wii and PS3 do and they are free.

12. Not on the 360, I got some pay for content for the pc (BF2 exp.) and those were mediocre.

13. I play on the pc a lot. Mostly rts and the hardcore rts's simply aren't there on the 360 and I don't expect them to be. That's what I have my pc for.

15. I just can't seem to get used to playing shooters on consoles. Wsad rules. Still, I play shooters on consoles from time to time and it's ok.

I just have to say that using the mouse to aim on FPS games is much easier than using a game pad. Oh, and faster too!

I'm a loner , nah... all my mates are pc gamers & they don't mind a dabble on a conslow now & then

I'm a bloody racing legend on both, don't play any other games on the 360.

I pay A$110 for a game & I don't expect to get half a game & then pay more for DL content :rant: , my live sub runs out next month & I will not be renewing it

Forza 2 glitched until it broke my box so the level is high
