Never winter nights 2

Is it worth it to get Never winter nights 2. I was originally very excited about getting it as I saw all the trailers, however after reading the amazon reviews and other reviews I was put off by all the negativity. Has anyone played this game and enjoyed it? Do the patches which have come out fix the issues people were having?

Well, I absolutely adored the first game and NWN2 is more of the same. It is taking time for the community to move on from NWN. but as people upgrade their PCs I think the modding community will grow.

The only drawback for most people is the GFX requirements, because the rest of the game is essentially the same AD&D we all know and love.

The SP campaign is engrossing and really quite addictive, but I really think the MP aspect is where the real value is.

I love NWN2 but for some odd reason the game wants a killer rig to be played at max details...it doesn't look that good thou. it does look good but not killer rig good

Yeah, the GFX engine is nice, but it is really taxing on anything up to 7800GTX standards.

Well I don't exactly have close to a killer rig, but I am not so bothered if there is not so much eye candy, as long as the game play is there.

So the question is will I be able to play it with low settings an ATI Radeon 9800 without it being a slideshow?

I like it but make sure to patch the game...man you gotta do some patching that takes for and ever to finish. but i love NWN2 as i said and I hardly say that about games. I even bought all 3 limited edition versions of it

maybe try the demo first. NWN with addon is for free or at least the ful version hase been in plenty of game mags in germany already. try it first...NWN2 is more of the same with some minor changes as far as i noticed.
