That's right, they did pay to keep it exclusive and this denial is right in line with it. Anyway, if any of you would have bothered to look at your config.ini file in the pc demo you would have come across this part

There is no doubt what so ever that a PS3 version is or used to be in production, particularly since the unreal engine is easy going on pc and both the 360 and ps3 without the need of mayor modifications to the core engine. If, and that's if the 360 version is going to be the only console version it's a simple matter of money and that's it. Funny enough the number of broken down 360's has once again risen due to people playing this game for hours on end, so I am fine with this game doing well on 360 :thumbup:

I have this game on pc btw, why would anyone play this with a gamepad? I never dreamed about getting it for the PS3, I just want people to get the facts right instead of them becoming yet another lost xbot soul in the Microsoft crusade to rule the world. Also, as everyone knows, I don't support any product with high failure rates.

I didn't play the pc demo so I wouldn't know about the script. But I can agree that a ps3 version may have been in production. This wouldn't really be news unless a lot of people were under the impression that bioshock would go to ps3.

However, I don't think there are any wrong facts that would "recruit xbots for microsoft's army" here. It's a well recognized gaming site that did an interview with the lead designer of the game. Its not like xbox 360 propaganda. Just a case of game exclusivity.

I was addressing the overall tendency of people to blindly follow what Ms does, not this link in particular. Joystiq is an great site in my opinion and I have no issues with them. I just keep getting amazed why people defend a c product like the 360 with all it's flaws while the customizable and more powerfull pc, the fun Wii and the PS3 are excellent and more durable alternatives to them.

It's just that the cool and dumb brads in "sweet sixteen" and eMptyTV promote it to the 14 year olds with no abbility to decide on quality instead of mass marketing generated notions that it must be cool to have an inferior product that overheats and scratches your discs. That being said, I do hope all people with a 360 have a fun time playing the game for hours and hours on end :thumbup:

Well NXS, I am just pissed off that we are always blindly following MS's lead. We need Windows to play our games, an os that should get a whole lot more attention and support if you look at the numbers of people using it and the massive amount of money that's being made from it. The Zune is simply an overpriced piece of crap, just like the I pod I might add.

And just when we have one hardware sector where MS isn't dominant with their aggresive tactics we allow their 360 to become way too big and even support it blindly. Let's face it here, the failure rate is simply beyond acceptable, 33% and more failing is a disaster and then there's the issue of discs being scratched, you have to pay to be online and the list goes on.

I don't support the PS3 blindly and am a critic towards some of it's aspects but it's flaws are a pale comparison to the 360 at the very least. The Wii is a great product with a superb philosophy behind it and gets my :thumbup: as well and the pc is so flexible that the possibility's are endless even with a os on it that lacks enough support.

It just shows that people blindly follow ad's instead of their own mind when making the disission to get a console and spend hundreds off dollars on a product that might lose support after the first half of next year when it's gone off the console market (the share holders are not pleased with the almost 6 billion loss they are making and continuing to lose on the 360, do the simple math yourself) I personaly hope this black day in the history of gaming will end soon and this terrible product loses support fast

EDIT: lmao, apperantly the new August production line of the 360 is still experiencing the same red lights of death issues all over the world. Linky, keep playing Bioshock on your mediocre product and overheat it people :thumbup:

I don't think people are following MS blindly! Look at the games for windows thing. Not a lot of devs are doing that cause it basically sucks. Vista is not exactly the greatest thing either. I have not got to play with Zune yet so, I don't know if that sux or not. And I will agree with you about the failure rates on the 360s. Way beyond unacceptable as it the time it takes to get them returned which is somewhere in the 6-8 week ballpark. If I had to wait that long, I would be tempted to go get a different console too!

As far as the 360 goes though, it is not a bad machine, when it is not RRoD or eating discs. I think a lot of people bought the 360 in the first year it was out and there was no competition. So, you either went to the 360 for next gen or waited. For me, it was simple. Get the 360. Not because I want to follow MS blindly but, because of the games! I don't watch movies on it or use it for some greater good. I use it to play games and that is it! MS offers gamers a choice and I think that is what people like. If you want to watch HD, you can choose to go get the player. Now, I don't like the fact that you cant use any other wifi connector aside from MS'. I should be able to plug in my linksys thing to it and it work instead of stretching a cat 5 cable across the damn floor.

To me, the PS3 just isnt there yet. Its over priced, the keep adding bigger hdds and then up the price again to then get rid of the smaller version, bluray does nothing for me as I don't watch movies, and the biggest thing, there are no good games for it yet! This is a problem for a hardcore gamer! Now I do like the free online thing but as I hear it, when you download a demo, you have to install it! What since does that make? The ps3 is not a puter, it is a game console! Well, it is supposed to be anyway. Now I am sure a year from now it might be better but, until then, I refuse to pay for it.


The Wii is great fun and I love mine. Hell, everyone loves my Wii! The problem with the Wii is that there were basically only mini game games out for it. Sure they are fun but, that wears off after a while. Metroid 3 came out and that should be good but it is only one game! There are sports games for it but, they get old as well. When the Wii comes out with top notch games, it will be almost unstopable. Going online couldn't hurt either.

Over all, the 360 is the best gaming bang for my buck right now and the Wii is a nice backup. This may change during the upcoming holiday season though Overall, I play the 360 not because I follow MS blindly, but because of the reasons above and many more!

Don't get me wrong though, sooner or later I will have a ps3. Mainly because I want all the consoles

I have no issues with the 360 games. They can be ported to another platform like the pc or ps3 which doesn't have the flaws that the 360 has so the real hardcore gamers can do what they want to: game. The 360 itself however fails to live up to it's promise off delivering quality entertainment for all people, with a 33% failure rate it completely misses that standard even. The 360 console is replaceable by better products and in that light defending it is a sin.

The PC and PS3 make way better platforms then the 360 does, the pc is upgradable to anything you can afford basicly and the PS3 can store more, process more and do a shit load more but most important, both these options don't have a 33% failure rate. That's why we should say as united consumers that this attempt of MS to dominate yet another market has only come at the expense of the people who want to be a serious gamer and are now left with scratched discs and three red lights staring at them instead of the game they wanted to play on their screen.

The PS3 isn't a computer? Yes it is, it's a console that can also be used as a normal pc when you put Linux on it. Multimedia in the 21th century means you can do multiple things on it and this is just another example. If you don't feel like putting any effort into it that's fine, just wait for the games to come collected on a disc one day and get that instead of whinig about a function that is there to be possibly used if you feel like it. You could just ignore it and do what you intended with it :thumbup:
