This is what ppl are really upset about. if they are complaining about the demo then i would have to agree on the "they just complain cause they can't play it" statement. But this policy sucks if you ask me i should be able to uninstall and reinstall a game i have bought as many times as i want.

That's definitely a lie. There is no spyware. The game is distributed via steam and you have an online activation. None of that is spyware or adware.

Well I regularly do a new format and OS install every couple
months to keep my speed up. They can't track your installs
my way :-)

Slay, if you don't uninstall before a format, SecurRom thinks you're pirating the game after x(5 i think) amount of installs.

Uninstalling before a format will keep you off of "Argh, they looks to be a pirate list"

SecuRom is actually a really good way of stopping piracy.
I am sorry i had to edit this but anything that can be considered warez is not allowed here. but it was good info! ;)
I think the CD key is binded to the .exe file, but I'm not really sure.

And Yes, I have legally purchased this game. I'm just a bit irked that I can't keep my disc nice and shiny.

I don't get why after all these "security" messures we still have to put a disc into the ROM. It doesn't even have MP

Well if you look at their forums they have a poll whether to remind the security or the game itself. pretty stupid to see most people even voted for the security.

Then again everyone complaining and whining bout the security, everyone else is having fun playing the game.

This activation thing is not unique. Even the company that put out Trackmania United has this crap now. You just get 3 activations, period! It is ridiculous if you ask me. A friend of mine bought a copy of TMU for me and my wife so we could join him playing the game online. I already had it activated on my pc using my wifes copy which only allowed me to play on her account. (you cant have multiple profiles on the game with a single cd-key) When he bought the copy for me to play I just used the cd-key to set up a profile. Since I have re-installed XP a couple times and upgraded my pc. I cannot use the cd-key and serial no. he supplied me because starforce says that the numbers aren't on their server list! So I have a cd-key and serila no. that are useless. Fifty bucks wasted!
