I haven't managed to play it yet, because my rig is still in storage! OMFG, Seriously, How many good games and demos have come out since I packed it away! It is driving me nuts seeing all this Crysis stuff and not being able to test it out!

There is something i simply don't understand : without fraps : 40 fps with all on high , with fraps: 25-30 fps same settings. (1028x1024)
The rig is what follows : P5B-E , E6600 @ 2.8ghz, ; 2go corsair PC6400 ; BFG 8800 GTS 640 OC @ 630 / 930. (vista ultimate 64 bits.) Oh and by the way, the editor works in 64 bits. Adds some cool some effects, multiplayer map shore is destructible from cars to barracks. try to pilot the asian helicopter lol. Ok, now, with everything on very high, i have 10-20 fps...i don't understand. From high to very high settings, there isn't a blasting change in the graphics, but woaw, performance cut by two....that sucks... Still, the game has some cool combats, i mean, firefights are so cool!

Getting the latest version of directx made the demo run way better then before. Running it at 33 fps at my 1950 pro with all on medium and 1280X1024 and tweaking it with ati tray tools without any oc and got everything on high with tons of room to experiment on my crossfire 2X 1900 xt rig. Game looks good, I do however wonder why Farcry looks better on high then Crysis on medium does. I was hoping coding had advanced more and I'd forget about Farcry on very high when I booted Crysis at medium the first time.

I assume Very High mode will just have higher precision shaders for HDR and motion-blur and maybe less texture compression. Someone post a screenshot of DX10 Very High mode pls!! :francesco:

For DX10 you have to have a DX10 card and be running
Windows Vista. Then all you need to do is right click on the game icon and select PlayDX10. Here's a DX10 Game Hack for those of you running DX9 :-) http://www.ngohq.com/news/12492-crysis-dem...tings-hack.html

Is what we are now hearing telling us that we don't really need Vista to run dx10 - thus making it another MS false selling point I sure hope so cause Xp runs better than Vista(atm) & I see no need to fork out more money for an OS at the present time. |
