Now, this caught me off guard! If the ads are not too intrusive, I say the every company should start doing this! Not only, is this very cool, for the most part, companies that have ads in their new games should make them cheaper. Thoughts?

Gazzfookingdammit, this is just great news. Too bad these versions seem to be limited to the US for now, but I am sure some version with ads for the European market will come out soon. BTW, you forgot:

What, so you can't install and play these games if your not in the US? Lame, I wonder if a proxy would help.

ok guys!! to get the games in any country you are in follow these simple steps!

1. enter the ubisoft website.

2. look at the URL and where it says ur region IE "http://www.ubi.com/UK/" change the UK or ur region to /US/, you will then enter the US website, all they do is have some ip region recognition java script to direct you to your local website.

3. click register and register asif your in the united states.

4. when installing the game it ask's for your ubi.com information, simple enter what u registered, and voila you have been accepted a message should say,

P.S Make sure you allow the installer to access the internet as some firewalls can block it, like mine damn mcaffee' either way turn it off temporarily or allow it internet access. this is so it can run through the database of registered users etc..

and thats it! your done!!

Anyone tried any of the games and can comment on how the ads work?

Yeah, the ads are just like acouple of seconds long like 10-15 seconds just before you load a map etc...

I downloaded FarCry with Ad support, indeed, like the above poster(s) have said, thee is the 15 second ad appears every time before you load a map, this mean, when you start up the game, before loading the map, every time you reload a save you have to watch and listen to the ad.

I personally find it highly annoying, and I am not bothered playing it because of this.

The problem is that some countries do not allow ad's in game... e.g Australia

personally I think it is a great idea because the last thing I want is more spam, would rather pay ten bucks yo live w/o the fatty up-size shite
