Hey guys, is there something wrong with the iiNet server or is it just very busy? Everytime I want to download something it's always full, whereas before it was always nearly full, sometimes was full but after up to about 5 minutes I could get in and download the file.

Try a different mirror. Preferably one with a bandwith of 1000 mb/s, that is for less then 80% full. That should work. By the way, it doesn't matter where the mirror is located.

The reason I want to use the iiNet mirror is because iiNet is my ISP so when my internet is shaped and going really slow, it will still download at full speed and when my internet isn't shaped it doesn't seem to count towards my download limit. I don't get any of this from other sites or mirrors. I'm shaped at the moment so it will take a long time to download anything from another mirror but if I can download it from the iiNet one, it won't take that long. I'd also run into more problems because I play online games every day, so I can't have downloads going, that's another reason why I won't use other mirrors.

Could you explain that to me a little better as I am a little lost with you explanation. I download from the UK servers on a constant basis as the US servers are hammered most of the time and this makes no difference what so ever. Of course, I don't have a download limit either.

I just want to know why that inet server is so important.

He doesn't know what he's talking about. He thinks he'll connect at
max. speed if his ISP is named the same as the download server.
If the server is busy, it's busy. You can't get it any faster than they can
send it. And if your internet providers sub-station in your area is busy,
you can't receive data any faster than they'll can share the bandwidth.
Try this test out at some differnt locals and you may see what I'm talking
about :-)

The iiNet server doesn't count towards their datalimit, that's why so many users of it like to use it eh ;)

Well I'm sure that's true. But if he can't log on then
even the iiNet server must get loaded up sometimes.
I'm positive they have a limit. Nothing is infinite in
this world. Unless your trying to figure Pi :-)
Let's see some SpeedTest.net screenies people.
When you run the test SpeedTest will supply you
with an image url. It doesn't get any easier than that :-)

I got a really low score the 1st few times I tried it at the location
closest to me. I tried a few different locals and some were better
and some were worse. Then I tried it at a less active time and my
score jumped way up :-)
