Stranglehold PC Demo

Max Payne allover again.

I didn't think the Stranglehold demo for the 360 was that bad! I have not played it on the puter yet but, I would imagine tis easier with the mouse and all. Sure, it is not groundbreaking or anything but, tis damn good fun!

it's out tomorrow (26.) in europe for pc!

This is not Max Payne, far from it. I'm not sure about the PC version, I only played the PS3 version, so thing might differ.

First of all, the camera is too close, I can barely see the character let alone everything in the environment.
Second, the slow-mo doesn't last long enough, especially when you slide down the table.
Third, it was way too fast for my taste.

Opinion, you might not agree with it, but it comes from a Max Payne fan.

fair enough, however I do not compare these games. while I do love max payne (played it numerous times), this game is completely different for me. it's much more arcade and fun, the story is more over the top just like a hong-kong movie should be and I love all these aspects. I think it's possible to enjoy both games if you have an open enough mind and don't stick to comparing these, just because they share some similarities. :dennis:

dunno, stranglehold for 360 was fun but not as good as max payne on PC. the PS3 version is horrible. but Stranglehold got one of the dembest storytelling there is: you walk down the street and kill 69874940 dudes and then you walk out and sit down talking to some dude like nothing happened and thenn suddenly someone comes and shoots artound and the whole thing repeats itself and afterward he walks somewhere and gets a drink like nothing happened and then again someone starts shooting....

Max Payne got one of the best stories in videogame history. Great voiceacting and blabla. Stranglehold got Chow Yun Fat voice and, as much as I like that kid, he sounds pretty lameopolis. To be honest, all HK stars that made US movies sux pretty much...mostly because their english suxalotorama

look, this is what you do: go play CoD and then stop after 15 min and watch some retarded comercial. then unpause the game and keep playing for another 15 min and then stop and watch 5 min of an episode of ER. keep this going and you got Stranglehold...without the destructive enviroment
