If you like Medal of Honor, u'll most likely love the Iron Storm demo we've just posted on the site.
Gfx are pretty good and the sfx are excellent - i love hearing those helicopters flying around me when shooting ppl

See it for yourself. It's not too big - 140 MB - and really worth it.

PS: Remember who brought it to u first

I had no problems at all running it, but please keep in mind that this is still a *beta* demo, since the full game isn't expected before end october 2002, so there's likely to be some bugs left.

- majortom : this game is designed to run under Windows 2000 or Windows XP (it's written in the description of the demo) and Windows 98se isn't officially supported, so that's probably why it doesn't work for you

- xmalkerx : the radeon 8500 isn't the problem, since I have the same card as you. I guess u also have windows 95/98...if not, check the version number for you radeon 8500 drivers (my version is 5.13.1.6094). Check also that the v-sync option isn't turned on when u launch the game.

Check also that you have DirectX 8.1b (or higher) because otherwise the demo won't run at all

Yea, if ur gonna post a beta version of a demo, plz make that known before I dl a 140 meg demo. Not that it took a really long time. But a nice foreword would be nice.

Oh, and I think that you should also make a note that you'll have difficulty with an Microsoft Optical Mouse running under ANY OS. As in my case and several others that have posted on bluesnews, i can only scroll vertically and not horizontally, and changing the keys is near impossible in my case even if i wanted to double click, i can't position my mouse over the right area(no horizontal motion)

Next time you guys post an "exclusive demo" just make sure that you mention BETA in it, so fellow gamers like myself can expect some kind of dissapoint and not freak out and go combing the net in search of why this "exclusive demo" isn't working for them.

This is not meant as a flame, just as a heads up to save u guys from having to read the countless posts from the pre-pubescent crowd saying how this game is poo and such and so for.

I do remember seeing a movie of this pre e3 and it did interest me, however my inability to play the "exclusive demo" is a bit of a bummer.

Only flame that i will add, is WTF NO SUPPORT FOR WIN98?

not everyone desires to upgrade to the latest and greatest OS out there provided by MS, unless developers are encouraging friends and neighbors to distribute their "back up copies" of installation disks. Last i checked, the majority of gamers are still running 98SE, less of course the developers are again targeting the l33t crowd who will be warezing the game anyways and they will make very little bank.

You can start at Microsoft.com. So does demo support or not support (read "works with") Win98SE?
