Are you ready for Final Fantasy for wii?

The Wii can have their range of FF games for all I care. It's a great console and I have to say that I doubt that having FF appear on the Wii is going to negatively affect the PS3. That being said, I have grown a bit tired of FF and it's time for some new revolutionary ip from them instead of FF clone no. 238465947. Perhaps the money generated from the Wii version will have them infest in some new stuff instead of the same old rpg's.

I am with Gazz on this one. The final fantasy series is extremely long in the tooth. They would have spent better use of their time developing a new franchise, then rehashing an existing one to death.

FF is all about FX and CGI sequences. It will all be a bit SEGA MegaCD 256 colour FMV on the Wii. It will also have to contend with Nintendo's insistant rehashing of the pokemon franchise and the obivous multitude of bowling and tennis games about to be unleashed.

It appears FF on the Wii will be called Crystal chronicles: the young king. It will be 15 dollars and available for purchase online. It looks like FF 8 on the PS2 which isn't a good thing and I assume it will do well among Wii owners. Kinda like watching the kiddy version of FF

Well i like the older FF's, but i think they should come with a new franchise, they made great ones in the past, i think they can do the same right now!

They should have changed the name of final fanatsy after the 7th one.
My favorite game of all time is Final Fanatsy 3 and Chrono Trigger.
After FF8 square went down the drain for me.
I'm not saying what they did after was bad but it wasn't what I liked.
I voted for it being a great idea cause i'm getting a Wii soon and I might try it out.
The only thing that got me frustrated is seeing the moogle or whatever that POS is on the first pic of this thread.
It looks like a fat wacked out furry white ball not a moogle.
I loved the old drawer Yoshitaka Amano.
It had this dark mysterious look to his art.
Then they hired Tesuya Nomura which I think still draws the characters and monsters in the FF series.
I hate his kind of art, it feels overly happy.
FFX gee... ugh... its too happy for me.
Tidus... discusting... you guys know what I mean when I say happy...
But I have to admit the music of final fanatsy, wow it is still as good as it was and maybe even better.
Of course I still have the memories of FF2 and FF3 or secret of mana and chrono trigger in my memory and sometimes it even makes me have this funny feeling inside.
Happyness in a nostaligic way...like my childhood will never come again, and there aren't any games today that can give me the feelings I had when playing those oh so good NES and SNES rpgs...

When I say 2 and 3 I mean 4 and 6.

I knew what you meant. Chronotrigger is my 2nd favourite SNES title.

Chrono Trigger was awesome.
I remember fighting with my brother to know which one was better.
I used to like CT better the FF3 but for some reason today I get more feelings and nostalgia when I think about FF3.

I hate what they did with the Phantasy Star series...used to be my babe on 8 n 16 bit and the dreamcast online thingy was fun but I hoped they would go back to true japs RPG instead of boring online humping
