fuck all them "it ain't Battlefield" reviews. It's mad fun but you need to play with people who knows what they are doing. I love it

I never get those "it ain't ..." whatever reviews. We already figured that out. If it was like Battlefiled, it would have been called Quake Battlefield and the strogs would have been wearing t-shirts with in game advertising on them. "Use Oil of Olaz so you don't end up looking like us" on a strog shirt would have been fun.

Stop comparing games, it's like comparing God of war to Heavenly sword, those games are set 200 years apart from each other. It's like releasing a WWII game set in the American civil war :bucky!: Reviewers should really stop making those half ass reviews comparing apples to pears.

Hardly Apples to Pears. Quake Wars is a BF2 clone. They are so closely related if you hadn't read about it you would assume it is a BF2 mod.

Well, it's to open in my opinion. it should have been more like Wolf ET with open maps but still closed up paths. Still it's mad fun. Only thing I really hate is flying in that game...worst flight controll setup ever

IMHO this game only got hyped because of Carmack's involvement with the so called 'MegaTexture' implementation. The problem is that it is hard to notice how it improves the graphical quality or art direction. It still looks like an old engine. In fact I was go as far as saying DICE's engine equals it in almost every way...

... and don't get me started on the load times, OMFG!

The graphics is good. nothing great but good. The megatexture thingy i didn't see any great changes to the good ol tile or whatever texture setup either but the game runs surpricingly pretty smooth with the far distance view without fogs and co. But I like the gameplay. and that's what counts in the end. the loading time is a killer thou. At one time when I was waiting for a map to load my kids went to college and graduated and got married and kids of their own and when they came to visit me they were like: Damn dad, you still waiting for that map? Yes, i was...but it was one hella fun map to play on
