You've spent all your money on bills when you head down to the store and see that BOTH doom 3 and half-life 2 are in. You can only afford to buy one, which will it be?

Sorry, HL2 WINS. Oiriginal Doom was awesome indeed, but that leaked alpha version of Doom3 didn't have much *wow* effect on me... Cool, ok, but far from having the same effect Half-Life that had on me.

Only Half-Life 2!!! :francesco:

Duke Nukem Forever - I think won't be released this year.
Doom 3 - worse than Half-Life 2.
Half-Life 2 - WINS!

I find myself in agreement with irs2k3 here.

I have no intention of buying Doom3, because I believe it will end up being just another engine tech demo, and not a real game.

On the other hand, Valve has been simply amazing in their continuous support for Halflife over the years. And this surprise release of a game that everybody has been hoping for is certainly a demonstration to "other" companies on how it ought to be done :P

On a side note, isn't it interesting that those people that so bitterly flamed irs for "starting rumors" about Half Life haven't come back to apologize now that his prediction has played out? :trout:
