Don't be so stupid. That counter was added to the site 2 days ago and has already been reset once, what's the point of stirring something up for no reason - grow up. Don't quite know why you mentioned Visual Basic but it was perfect for the game.

What I've said is true, I released early versions of my game pre-website to 2 forums only and the reaction was immense and I kept improving to the point at which I've released it publically. It should be on a lot of freeware sites soon. I'm not out to make any money out of this, I had a passion to make a game that *I* wanted to play. If people like it that's great, if not I'm not forcing you to play it now am I.

Just close the damn thread if you're so against it - I didn't ask for this promotion on the forum anyway (otherwise I'd have done it myself). If you don't have something constructive say (like calling it spam, which it actually isn't - look it up) then kindly bugger off.

I think the comments were just and a moderator should know better for implying I'm lying and then labelling my friend as a spammer. I only signed up to reply to this thread - if the moderating's like that it won't take a ban to keep me away.

Sorry I was so blunt but why did he even post if he hasn't even played the game, why just throw in an accusation I just don't understand it.

If you are going to make your work public, be prepared to deal with criticism, justified or not.

We have developers that hang around this board, and us forumites are pretty blunt with the things we like and dislike about their products. My guess is, that is part of the reason they stay here, because they get honest feedback.

Not to mention that the humor around these parts can get pretty sharp.

LOL, I only said it was like CM4 in the subject line, just to get your attention....I didn't know what else to put there really, you try describing this game :P

Anyway, back to the point. Criticism is good as long as it's constructive and adds to the development of the product. The thing is, you really have to study the readme that comes weith this game to see the depth to it, trust me, it's there! I'm ashamed to admit that I jumped in an played it without doing as I was told ( :stupid: ) and so I was really unimpressed to start with. But honestly, this game is so clever, I dunno how my dumbass mate made it....I reckon he nicked it from somewhere :P

When you start moving up the leagues and see the AI gradually become better and better it really is fascinating....even when you get whooped.

Ok, so I was wrong to lead you on thinking it was a CM4 alternative, but give it 30 mins play (after reading the README!) and THEN come back and have a go at us.
