We start off going through a pyramid. Like in most FFs when you're getting close to the end you need to stock up on badass weapons and spells.
Annoying robot dogs.
Yep, we're going for the esper Bahamut, which is in fact kind of weak in FFV.
It's pretty big though, and against mobs vulnerable to fire it's pretty much awesome. I forgot to take screens of the fight itself though.
Next we head through the ancient forest, and what do you know...
Exdeath up to no good.
Exdeath opens up a bunch of portals and lots of innocent people get sucked in.
Fortunately not in the temple that stores the twelve legendary weapons. Here you bring a stone tablet, and in exchange get to pick out three weapons.
Unfortunately a lot of the best armor is tougher to get. Genji armor for instance needs to be stolen by a thief. I couldn't be bothered, because thieves suck.
The chicken knife is actually the weapon with the highest damage. It's super annoying though because it starts off very weak, but gets more powerful as you escape battles. A couple hundred times and it's good to go. The only problem is that when using it there's a certain chance that you'll escape. This sucks if you've killed every enemy but one, and then just escape, giving you zero experience etc. I liked using it with bosses, since you can't escape those.
Using the Bahamut esper.
In order to get the spells Holy and Flare the party needed to split up and do two towers at the same time.
Heading into the portal to the cleft of dimension.
