Continued
![]() ![]() That's a pretty big tree. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() At this point I was pretty excited that I would be able to finish the game fairly quickly, compared to the other games. As you can see I didn't have all that many health points, and I had gotten this far without too many issues, so I didn't expect this to be too difficult. ![]() But then ![]() Exdeath transforms into Neo-Exdeath, which has about four parts with lots of health points, and really annoying and powerful attacks. ![]() In particular there's an attack called Almagest that does about 1600 points of damage to each of the team members. At that point maybe one or two of the characters had more than that, so in short I was screwed. I loaded an older save game and started farming. This went fairly easily, and a couple of hours later I tried again. No dice, but closer. The next day I farmed for a couple more hours ![]() And finally made it. As usual I won't spoil the end, but it's pretty good. Thoughts about the game: Another really solid installment in the series. It might be the one with my favorite storyline so far, partly because they'd gotten better at audio and visuals in general, and that there are more actual character animations this time. The guys will laugh, look shocked, be sad, and so on. Also, the towns and many of the backgrounds look great. The castles look even more detailed than before, and everything is really nicely colored. I also listened to the music more this time. During the 30 hour play through I may've listened to the music for about 3 hours, but that's more than before. In terms of gameplay it's more polished than before. More depth than FF IV, and fewer annoyances than FF I-III. The jobs and abilities work pretty well, but I expect there'll be more depth in the upcoming games. If you decide to play through this game I recommend checking out RPGClassics.com - Final Fantasy V

So there are two reasons to go on: you're getting "rich" and what you're doing is great.

FINAL FANTASY VI
July 04, 2008 I had originally planned to take a break for maybe about a week or so, but I started doing some research and hey, looks like I've started on FF VI. This game is considered one of the best SNES games, by many the best FF, and by many the best JRPG. I've only spent about an hour in it, and I can easily see why. Graphics and audio seem awesome in general, and the story is quite different from the previous games. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm not REALLY sure what's up, but we're invading a town looking for some phantom beast. ![]() ![]() We find it, and the imperial guards run off scared. ![]() Mary gets zapped, wakes up in the town, gets chased by guards, falls down a pit, and starts getting flashbacks. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm psyched!

![]() When these black screens pop up you get to name the character. I wanted to stick with the four names I've been using in the previous games, Amb, Bob, Earl, and Mary, since there's usually three guys and a girl. ![]() Meet Bob. ![]() Thanks to the help of the moglies we fought back some imperial guards. ![]() ![]() and made it outside. Notice the mini map that updates in real time! ![]() We went to a nearby castle to get some help from its king. ![]() Meet Earl. ![]() And his brother Amb ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Uh oh. ![]() ![]() Honest!
