expanditvirus
ok this pop up is now showing up on the gamershell site it has happened to me on two different computers (one of which was a brand new fresh install) the browser window closes and a pop up apears in the corner of the screen saying you may be infected w/ a virus (made to look like a system tray pop up) and no matter which option you choose you are then redirected to the web site for this company (even if you hit the red x to close the window)
if this is a company advertising on gamershell please let me know.

No issues here. I guess you are using IE 7? Do a complete scan with your antivirus, and try Firefox and/or Opera to see if it happens again.

On the main site? It doesn't seem to appear on Firefox.
I do know the pop up, it's been around for ages. I believe it actually is spyware already installed on your pc. What's the name of the company again?

Supposedly we have no questionable advertiser running on gamershell.com though had two reports about this happening. It would help greatly if you can take a screenshot of which advertisers are showing on the site itself when this happens, as well as click-trough urls to all of them.
It's either someone that has found a trick within google adsense or some nasty advertiser inside an advertisment network.
Also please let us know, browser, and country

forums hacked again? It's a possibility, there's no advertisment on forums, so that can't be the cause, I've removed the sole Run of Network advertiser we had from main site but looks like we're still getting this report.
