Diablo III rumor strikes again!

I don't remember how many rumors I have heard since 2006, now the latest rumor came out with an interesting view said the Diablo III will be announced at the next Blizzard World Wide Invitational, June 28th. TBH Diablo III is the only game Im really looking forward to.

WE WANT A REAL DIABLO III NO MORE HELLGATE NO MORE MYTHOS!

Yeah, it seems more and more likely that DiabloIII will be released in 2009. I for one cannot wait as I am sure it will be one of those titles that redefines a genre. Is a Diablo MMORPG out of the question?

Anything diablo would be awesome, though admittedly Mythos looks ok.

diablo 3 would be a blessing right now, and if they did make it mmorpg im sure they would be loosing lots of fans from WoW to play it as many people like myself grew up on the original diablo before warcraft

I'd say it's unlikely that they're doing another mmorpg though. It could happen, but I'm sure there's plenty left to milk in WoW. Story wise it probably can't go TOO far beyond wrath of the lich king, but who knows

Thinking about it a bit this afternoon I came to the conclusion that maybe Blizzard will/are developing a new cross platform game engine and will test it out with DiabloIII. Once all the niggles are ironed out they will utilise the code for the WoW2. Seems a viable idea no?

Could be, though they're gambling on whether people are wow'd out or not by the time it's done. I don't think there's enough lore to warrant another game though
