Well, everyone who has a PS3 and updated to the useless version 2.30 pretty feels jacked by SONY. And
unless you're a fanboy , Sony does little to help non-fanboys liking their system.

First off: The PSN Store. it was working perfectly but SONY decided to fuck us up by making it runs like
shit. No, I don't do shit any justice here because even shit runs faster by even not moving at all. Now there
are always those retarded fanboys who will say that they are working on it and it will be better but it won't
because it ALREADY HAS BEEN WORKING BETTER. Not only did they fucked up the whole Store layout
which was, while not the best in town, still quite usable. The new layout makes you wonder which monkey
piss Ken decided to slurp down his throat this time to come up with that masterpiece of gloryhole action for
poor people. It takes over 20!! minutes to fully load a page sometimes with 2 minutes fastes so far (image
loading. you can already hit the icons before they are all loaded), but it didn't load the full page.- i just got
the Lair patch and got off.


It also appears that Sony messing up the PS3 with every patch that comes out. i used to be able to watch
HD AVIs (1280x720) perfectly on my sys till a couple of patches ago. now it constantly stutters when i try
to watch a NOT-EVEN-FUCKING-FULL-HD-RES-AVI-Movie. I'm not the only one on this since i checked
around my friends and other useless beings called the human race, and most of them have those problems
now.


There are other things I wanted to bitch about but after trying to get MGO BETA patched and for some sick
reason I believed Factor 5 would fix LAIR with a patch i wanna do some Bitchstory Gaiden:


first of MGO BETA, which i just downloaded. Well, download whent fast and installed it right away. Since
the game doesn't start till monday I was curious what happens if you trying to start it now and for some odd
reason, as i expected, i had to patch the game first. Yep, a patch for a game that hasn't even launch yet.
Well, it's a beta so what gives. In my humble sexyness I decided to download the patch for i wanna do
some Steath Ass-kickin when the time is right but OH NO!- neither the HTML nor the P2P download works.
My friend told me it took him only one hour to get 1% but after 12% an error messege came up that promt
him to hit the PS button and restert the game. Lucky me I got that messege after 10 minutes while still
standing strong on 0%, defending my harddrive from overflow...even against my will. After about 3986750630
tries of updating this bitch i had the choice of either looking at my awesome penis or bitch about
something else.


Sadly for you i decided to bitch about LAIR now: Well, we all know and mostly hated the original LAIR
control setup. The six axis, or also known as "we tried to copy the wiimote but are to stupid to o so", was
never a decent controller. actually the since PS(1) era sony made that fingercancer growth stimulator and
told the people how awesome it is. Since we're living on a planet where the selfproclaimed master-beings,
also known as the human race, contains mostly idiots and "retards by choice" or sexy Gamershell forum
members, everyone including the so called neutral and impartial game mags and websites. But i had my
rant about the FUCKER already so back to LAIR.


Well I installed the patch and was happy like a little girl who almost bled to death for the first time. They
add analog stick controll now...what else do we want more? well, how about adding the analog stick
support so the controll feels like you have controll over the flying faggots, which factor5 kindly sold to us as
dragons.

Seriously, how can they fuck up on something that simple? analog controll....you controll a fucking flying
spiked dildo with the sticks. Instead we get some of the jerkiest movements ever to lay its layout on a
gamepad. it is, one might not believe it, even worst than the sixaxis control. And if you think we finally can
drop the sixaxis motion raping then you are in for another surprice: they are still there for EVERY other
move besides the stadard left/right and UP/down. That's right. you still have to jerk around with the
FUCKYOUAXIS to do some of the most useless stuff that you must do in order to get anywhere in the
game. This is what takes over 200MB? Oh yeah, forgot about the 2 extra dragons they added with the
patch...i would have like to try them but w00talotinmypants, the patch also erased my complete gamesave
of lair. There was no warning or anything to remind you "hey idiot, back up your save files". They took it
silently as the HDD was spinning in embarressment, wondering about it excistance, that used to be sotring
important and useful files and detas but now got narrowed down in storing the sick and perverted inbreeds of
Factor5.

No, Lair is not a good game that makes me slap my giant penis like i just won the Bangyomama award nor
does it has anything to offer for a decent replay.
it's hard for me to believe that that game is made by the same greatness that once gave us all those
nintendo starwars games. it must have fallen into the magical "from brainfuck to assrape express way"
bottel when it left gamecube to go to PS3.



there were lotsa other things i wanted to write but i forgot...so...yeah.

No problems here with the PSn store. Did have the slow loading pictures at first, but that was solved as promised.Why would you get the Lair patch from PSn anyway since you can get it while booting the game. Taking the d-tour anyway I see.

I heard about that HD issue. Shame that happens. Only have 3 Bluray movies and no issues with them. Hope it works out for you soon.

Downloading issues with a patch for a game that isn't supposed to played till monday? I'll try myself and let you know if I have them although I won't mind if I get any for now.

Lair, I have that game aswell. It's a poor repetitive game that looks great. Another control scheme doesn't have any impact on that. Mediocricy.

New store is just great for me. Now slowness and the new design is an improvement IMHO.

Lair is rubbish from the ground up. A controller patch is hardly going to turn it into a polished AAA title worth replaying! I swapped my copy ages ago and purchased Assassin's Creed, whilst far form perfect it is a better game.

Now it is interesting you mention AVI playback, because I watch a lot on my PS3. It seems to be ok for me SINCE the last firmware update, but there may be other reasons. I stream all of mine via CAT6 Gigabit Ethernet via a decent cisco catalyst switch. I used to transfer via 54g wireless.

Sorry to hear you are getting vexxed with it. I am nothing more than impressed with my purchase.

I think the store looks a lot more sexy now, I sure like the design over XBL Marketplace, but I did the same thing, got the Lair patch and left....
held off on playing lair because I had a feeling a analog patch would be on its way, the game plain sucks some bawwls, but I only rented it =/

well, PSN Store seems to be faster now so they semi fixed it but it still got its slow times.
I can also watch AVIs fine as long it's not in HD or HD ready res (meaning stuttering starts with 1280x720 res)

Well, to compare PSN with XBL is like comaparing your grandmas bicycle with airwolfs chopper....it's not even close to take off

I'm sorry for you man. It would probably be fixed a lot faster if Sony fanboys complained about the ps3's problems as much as they do about every other system's.

There isn't really an problem. Even though Kami won a PS3 he still hates the playstation brand for supposedly killing the Dreamcast. Something Sega did themselves under the failing leadership of Peter Moore, the guy later responsible for the worst piece of hardware quality ever, the 360.

The new update gave us HD sound and better encoding perfect for hd films. Some movies might start experiencing bad playback, but it might as well be a poor dvdrip or encode in the first place. Slap some linux on it, and play the movie on a mediaplayer and if you don't feel like that then stop whining and get the original dvd.

As far as PSN is concerned, at least it's still up and running instead of a supposedly superior service you pay for that broke down more times then an old Datsun in the Dakar rally. The basis of online multiplayer is getting online, something MS could learn from.
