Jesus Sims2....EA will not let this money maker die easilly. After this we'll see the addons...Sims2 Vacation, Sims2 Unleashed and all that crap.

Im hoping that at least you can have sex on this sims and have two partners :P

I guess they realized that making even more addons sucks. The worst thing is that the sequel will probably sell extremely well :/

Same here...Always seemed like a girly game...Which probably explains why most Sims players "are" girls...Or fat, bold, white pedophiles looking for some online action...

But anyway, somehow, it became one of the most sold games ever...Probably since most people playing it aren't real gamers and don't even know that you can download it...Anywho...It just goes to show how much better games get downloaded and this pos makes a shitload of money...That's sad.

After many many addons, they decided to make a True sequel that will end up in the top ten charts AGAIN, pretty annoying huh ! :nxs!:

Believe it or not, the underlying reason for developers to make games is to make MONEY! The Sims didn't just make money, it made absolute shitloads of money. So a sequel is just common business sense. Of course, people who "aquire" their games from.......dubious sources often lose sight of this, for obivious reasons.

I'm really suprised by how many here never played The Sims(or claim so anyway), yet seem to hate it with a vengeance. If you never played the damn thing what's your basis for hating it? Because it sold more copies than your two favorite games did put together? Because it doesn't appeal to you? If that's the case, i've got two words for ya: GROW UP!

I played the Sims, thought it was a blast for a week, then never played it again. But if i was a Sims fanatic i'd be pretty damned happy about them regularly releasing expansions with new stuff and features. Hell, i wish more developers would follow in this vein, since way too many games end to soon despite showing great promise.

GTA III i believe has sold over 8 million copies in its fifty dollar era (8000000 * 50).. umm.. 400000000.. 400 million dollars.. it might have been 9 million before the price went down.. not sure.. and the crazy fact is that GTA: VC sold more copies last year than GTA III... even though GTA III came out in august 2001.. it didn't really start getting big sales till christmas and early 2002.... so think about how much damn money Rockstar Games has made in the past year and a half.. probably around a billion dollars.... NOW THATS A SHITLOAD OF MONEY :starwars:

OH AND.. i don't think it sold more copies than these two (GTA III AND VC)..(if these were your favorite 2 games.. mine personally are TES III: Morrowind and a Free game.. AA.. or MGS.. one of those two games).. if they were these.. than no way.. because when i heard that GTA III had reached a whopping 6 million copies or 7.. it was the second best selling game of all time.. a shit load of money
