Another week of gaming news...

Since it's been a busy week, here's a lot of gaming news in just one topic for your viewing pleasure.

First off, Lord of the rings online will be coming to consoles. Not that many people care, but it will be the first real mmorpg to hit consoles and may prove to be a huge succes.

Bioshock coming to PS3! Boy, was I flamed when I said it would eventually come to PS3. Anyway, I was right as usual.

Atari stops focussing on single play, perhaps something that can be related to the first thing I posted. Focus will be on multiplayer games, perhaps not such a bad thing since their singleplayer games haven't done that well lately.

Xbox live bans the name Richard Gaywood. Understandable ofcourse, however, it turned out to be someones real name. Poor chap.... I wonder if they banned the name or the entire console of the fellow.

Jack thompson is found guilty on 27 charges in a lawsuit against him. Almost all have to do with Rockstar and GTA.

Radeon 4870 20% faster then 9800XT. The real battle will ofcourse be between the 4870 and GTX280 which AMD will most likely loose in the performance department. However, since Nvidias card will probably be around 600 Euro at launch AMD will once again win the price/performance medal as they have been doing for a few models now.

The Gaywood one is pretty funny. As they said on GFW podcast, imagine the kid in class at the start of each year when they're reading up the roster and the teacher goes "GAYWOOD, RICHARD?"

Also, nice that lotro is still doing okay. They've been putting out a lot of free content, which is impressive considering the number of employees. I probably won't hop on, but it's good that the genre has several solid titles that don't just disappear.

Final Fantasy 11 was a console MMO =/ but it sucks balls

That's true. Lets make this one the first mmorpg on a real network. The PS2 network only functioned as a test platform. FF 11 got released on pc as well didn't it?
