MGS4 Limited Edition - WORST CE 08!

Most people here who know me, knows that I always waste my money on the CEs when there is one. MGS4 was no exception only....

First off: This is about the additional contents of the CE and not the game itself. Everyone who replys to this post with "but the game still rocks" or "MGS is the best game EVEREERREEREREERRERRR!!!!111!!1!!1!" is an omni-moron and a total disapointment of Human Evolution...while one might argue that the last one is more a myth than scients.

I must say for the price (ca 100bucks) the MGS Limited Edition is the worst CE there is this year. I got the EU version(because it came with the action figure) and must say i should have saved the 45 bucks.

The figurin is of the lowest quality and single colour painted, without any shadings or highlights, thus making it appear even cheaper. You know those McDonald fun meal crap toys? Yes, the one where some kid in a childlabor camp in china sits around all day and has to paint 500000 McPokemonts per hour kind. The MGS Old Snake Action Figure is even worst.

There is the soundtrack CD which is alright. For MGS fans it's probably something really nice but for me only MGS (the first on PS1) had a good OST. The Limited Edition Bonus Disc (not METAL GEAR SAGA, which is a freebie for preorders) contains the usual crap that we have seen so many times in the internet already, including Kojima grinning into the cam and being all happy that he can make extra bucks with crap addition.

I always buy the Collectors Edition of games when there is one...a lil tick of mine. But this was a "10 bucks more please" CE and not a 100 bucks "W3 4R3 1337" box.

...unless you are a real MGS fan I guess (I'm not).
Unfortunitly I ordered per mail so I couldn't see how the quality of the how figurin is before gettin it. On the other hand I would still have gotten the CE even knowing it was crap because CE is my addiction. Well, with that said I can recommand it only to real MGS fans with to much money. Anyone else thinking they get their moneys worth

I'd say I'd feel sorry for you, but blindly preordering a limited edition without knowing what's it like is your own stupid fault. I never really get why you have a PS3, you hate controllers, hate the Playstation brand and yet you spend hundreds of dollars on them and the last game you bought for it is Haze. Then you go off calling people who like the critically aclaimed AAA game that is MGS4 morons.

Seriously Kami, the only one who is doing this to himself is you. There is no conspiracy or whatever, the only one who buys this stuff blindly is you.

I never said MGS4 is a crap game...otherwise i wouldn't have got it. it's just not as good imo.

and i also stated that even with knowing that the box is crap i would have still got it because i always get the CE of a game when there is one.


Haze was an average game but the splittscreen coop was fun...besides i got it much cheaper.

I have a PS3 because I didn#t have to pay for it. don't tell me if you someone gives you a 360 for free you would have turned it down. Nope. and since i know you gazz, i also know what you would have done with the 360: you would have scratched off the MS and 360 logo. Get yourself a marker and write Plaistazion iiI on it. You probably did, that's why you think the PS3 is the best system ever.

Anyway, you could have chosen to sell your PS3 for a 360, Wii or pc upgrade om the day you got it. You chose to walk down this lane yourself and get games for it, not me, Sony or anyone else. Just you.

I use the PS3 mainly as a media player. and since i already own a couple of BD it would be stupid sellin it and then get a bd player. getting either na elite or wii in 2 weeks. PC has to wait because i need a notebook first. was thinking of either the ASUS m70, Apple Macbook (not the air) or the IBM (forgot the name).

actually i was thinking of selling the PS3 but as long there is no alternative HD player around I'll keep it.

besides, i like to know what I'm bitchin about...unlike some other folks
