I saw a Gainware? Geforce 4 MX 440, i was wondering if its worth around 170$ (cheapest in my country)
i aint gonna buy it now, so it'll probably drop a bit on the price soon, but still, in general, is it a good card? |

The thing with the mx version is that it doesn't have the main fancy features that the regular geforce 3 and the regular geforce 4 has, being a vertex and pixel shader. You can check my post (if fatso hiv hasn't removed the folder) about John Carmack commenting the geforce 4 mx and the performence it will get in the upcoming Doom 3.

John Carmack has been quoted as saying that Doom 3 will not run well on a Geforce4 MX and Unreal Tournament 2 has a predicted 26FPS on a GF4, so if you are a hardcore gamer and want these games you need a Ti4600 with 128MB RAM, or you need to wait until they bring out a GF4 Ultra which I bet they will call the Ti4800
