If they didn't screw up, why did they pull the update and plan to re-release with a whole new version #?

They pulled the update because of download issues. The 2.41 update (which includes all previous updates such as 2.40 and any release before that) being released so quickly is there to fix some issues, but none of the so called bricked PS3 cases you want people to think exist. Funny... I've never seen any of those issues, and I've never seen a movie of it happening, so I think all those "issues" are hopeless Sony fanboys trying to trash the Xbox.

No, I said that the downloading did go wrong and thats how updating the PS3 went wrong. The firmware itself did not brick any console and thats were you are all wrong. Put in some nice movies (which you cant see on the browser of your 360, since it has none) for your entertainment and we all know that MS made a huge loss on rrod.

Whats your latest stance on Blu ray btw? Still some issues with the world moving on while you are getting older and dont get it that well anymore? Oh noozz, innovation.....

Actually they did nothing wrong, they actually did something right by pulling the firmware and fixing the problems that they didn't see coming due to the nature of file transfer, flashing, and different SKUs having marginally different components.

You're making a big deal out of nothing which make you a bigger fanboy and hypocrite than Gazz.
