Default So well phrased, it deserves its own thread

Penny Arcade! - Paint The Line, Part Six

I am overjoyed that I never had, or took, an opportunity to talk about this 2.4 shit, and algorithmic flexing of a community tripping over itself to act as proxies in this week's PR skirmish.
Whoops! Sorry about that. I shall endeavor to be less honest in the future. Or, at any rate, I will attempt to describe events in a way that makes idiocy seem a virtue.
Think Tycho lurks these forums?

The only person dumb enough to post about the alleged problems seems to be you around here Bucky. Even mentioned my name, so you'd be sure I would respond. Stop the "I am a victim of the Sony defense force, because I provoke them myself" attitude.

So, how is the economy off you and your fellow Americans doing? Perhaps something you need to focus on instead off the PS3, seems you have bigger issues then the RROD on your failing hardware. Well, you have them both.

Better than not fixing the RROD problem, at least they pulled it of the servers to be safe. Also I'm not even sure what he is trying to address in his snarky statement.

Carmack: PS3 Version of RAGE to be Massively Superior to 360 Version due to Blu-Ray

August 3rd, 2008 Hans
Sony wins again.
Speaking during the QuakeCon keynote, id Software’s John Carmack has revealed that the Xbox 360’s DVD format could result in the developer’s upcoming game, Rage, being compromised on the platform.
According to Shacknews Carmack noted three DVDs will be needed for the Xbox 360 version, although royalty fees to include a third disc would rule out this option. Unless Microsoft makes a concession, id will be forced to release the game on two DVDs with heavy compression, thus making the game look worse than the PS3 version.
This was known since 2005 when it was revealed that the Playstation 3 would include the revolutionary Blu-Ray drive while Microsoft’s Xbox 360 was sticking to the vastly outdated DVD media. We’re already seeing games like Uncharted, Metal Gear Solid 4, and others look a generation apart from 360 exclusives, and we’re glad to see Carmack agree that the inclusion of Blu-Ray was a great choice and great for gamers.

Ofourse this article is taken of the Sony defense force site which is nothing but a big joke. The article is just really funny, as is the rest of that site. The Microsoft defense force site went bankrupt ironicly enough, some months ago.

The compressed data can be uncompressed when it's put on the hard disk. ZIP-stype compression is not lossy, we're not talking about mp3s or video here.

well the problem is that you need to store the uncompressed file somewhere and MS doesn't let you use the HDD for installin
