Viruses test
Greets buddys, I've tested many internet antivirus scanners. Some are really shit, but some a really glorious, and fast. Here is the score table.
1. VBA32 Online Scanner
2. Avast Online Scanner
3. BitDefender Online Scanner
4. NOD32 Online Scanner
5. Kaspersky Online Scanner
IMHO: Better not to use internet ))))))))

I think McAfee is better. Both the online scanner and McAfee Security Suite 2009.
And how did you get scanners on top that have the worst virus detection? I am getting the feeling you don't know how to determine the quality of securuity software.

I have NOD. NOD is superfast and the best AV out there.

McAfee too, they really improved the speed. A complete scan now takes an hour on my laptop, which was about 1h 40m before. Though I don't know how much faster it is on my compaq and my new rig.
And 40 euro for 3 pcs (I upgraded it from last year's verson to this year's security suite) is cheap for an A-brand.

Well this guy is part of a big spam today, as you could see the bot fills everything, even the gamercard in hopes to make it look more legit.
But even then this makes for a good discussion.
WHEN i use a virusscanner i use Nod, it's just that i hardly use one.

Avira antivir f.t.w
Tested kaspersky, NOD32 etc.. most of them.
NOD32 didnt catch several viruses or trojans in my case, same for kaspersky, pc tools antivir was ok.
But imho avira is the best, i run seperate scanning programs next to it, (Spybot,Malwarebytes etc) and since avira install they dont find anyting anymore, which wasnt the case with NOD32 and some others that are known too...

Avira works fine you say, yet you have several progs beside it?
That Kaspersky did't locate certain malware may be because files that have been scanned before (and not been modified) will be skipped. So if it doesn't detect recent malware, it won't do it either after an update.
McAfee Internet Security detects stuff well, though. To be clear, their Internet Security software, not Antivirus. That is partially because for the proactive scans you need their firewall.
