Hey all! I'm new to the forums, tho I have been browsing GH as a guest and read the reviews frequently. I just wanted to bring something up tho.. does anyone remember Novalogic's Delta Force Series? Delta Force 2 (DF2) to be more specific. The pioneer game of all online multiplayer FPS. Everyone I know that has played this game was/is fiercely loyal to the title. Did anyone here ever play it? Well whether or not anyone remembers, here's whats been going on in the DF2 Community
Unfortunately, back in 2007 people started leaving when Novalogic began to require a patch be run on the .exe that allowed online mp play, but novalogic forgot one thing... TO TELL THE COMMUNITY IT WAS REQUIRED. lol Without this patch, it just looked like all the servers were gone and no one was playing anymore. Here's the thing, there's still plenty of people playin DF2 and the squads are still thriving. Anyone remember C9, A/F, REN, L&W, and GoDS? We're all still here, all that you need is the patch from novalogic found
here.
Interested in coming back? We'd be gald to have ya.. never heard of it and curious to check it out, here so vids of it on youtube.com,
and
. Sure the graphics are ancient, but what other game can a dialup player have equal chance going head to head with a cable player? The DF2 maps are unmatched, you can shoot and kill an opponent from over 3km away (my top is 2250m). Need a copy (unless you still have your old one)? You can purchase and download a copy
here direct from Novalogic, there's still plenty of copies
here at amazon.com, or if you're still having problems let me know via pm here.
No matter your motivation (miss it so bad you can't wait to get back, or just wanna see what its like) stop by thegoodoldays.com (GolD) and sign up for the forums. Share your old school stories, or ask some tech questions if you need help getting back into the servers. We're more than happy to help!
Does anyone here have memories of playing DF2?
P.S. Feel free to PM me here if you have any questions what so ever. (and yes.. it runs just fine on Vista!)
