Halo:
Bungie has put up a faq list on the net for us to view!
Halo will me mod-able, have multiplayer (16 players(online, lan), no bots)
Quote:
There are several new features being added to Halo that will greatly enhance the multiplayer experience. The core of the single player campaign (the story line, cinematics, scripts, music/sounds, AI, physics, etc..) is being faithfully translated for the PC with everything you would expect from a PC game (hi res graphics, mouse/keyboard support, Creative 5.1 EAX support, etc..)
Currently, Gearbox is working to include the Flamethrower for the multiplayer modes of Halo for PC. We haven't announced whether it will in fact make it into the final game just yet. As always, keep checking back at Bungie.net for the latest developments.
All of the new elements are exclusive to multiplayer only.

GTA4:
Quote:
A core team of five key Rockstar North staff is hard at work designing the true sequel to Grand Theft Auto 3, we can exclusively reveal. While all attention is focused on the Vice City follow-up confirmed by Take-Two for release in the next 18 months, a small team is working through concepts for a totally reworked GTA game for the next-generation of hardware.
A highly placed inside source operating under conditions of anonymity told us: "GTA 4 is being designed now by a team of five." The source also confirmed that the next GTA game on console - widely believed to be based in San Andreas - will be the last iteration in the present format. "Expect more of the same as Vice City for that, but GTA 4 will be completely different.
"The designers have basically looked at what they want to do and realised they cannot do it with current technology, so they're building it from scratch."
As a result "San Andreas" will mark the last use of the GTA3 engine. Unsurprisingly, it's believed Rockstar North is looking to the next-generation of hardware to realise its vision, with PS3 hotly-tipped by those in the know.

02.06.03 Rockstar Games officially announced that GTA4 is under development. Facts say that the GTA series is only under development for ps2, but Microsoft is rumoured to be offering Rockstar Games a BIG amount of money to develope the game to the Xbox as well.
But the game is planned to be released around christmas 2004.
A new matrix game?
01.06.03 Atari confirms that another matrix game is being developed by Shiny.
The game is being developed by the same guys who made Enter The Matrix.
Gamepower in Australia talked to an Atari worker who confirmed this. It was not supposed to go get to the medias this fast.
But now we now that another matric game is under construction and it will be released about the same time as Matrix: Revolutions will hit the stores.

Halo - I don't care about it.
GTA4 - Only for PS2 (or maybe for PS3).
New matrix game - I suppose it will be the same crap as Enter The Matrix.
Half-Life 2, DOOM 3, Far Cry and STALKER will rule 'em all.

I agree with you on that but until they'll arrive, we have to play something else.
And that is in this case Halo or whatever will be released until then.
Regarding Enter The Matrix: Maybe they've learned their lesson and will make it better next time.
p.s.: Why did you even reply to this topic since you dont like the games?

pfft.. whenever Hollywood gets involved with a game they want a mass market appeal to be released on a strict schedule to coincide with a release date.
==flaming wreckage.

All the games listed above will be Impressive, But you must have a good system to enjoy them and a DirectX9 compatible card to see all these cool new features like Advanced Physics, More intelligent AI, etc...
You wont be playing Half-life2 on a Riva card, Would you ?
