NEW GAME PROJECT !!!

Hi everyone!

I need some kind of opinion about this game project I want to start. It would really help in creating this game to know what people think about it.
Ok here it goes:
The game would be similar to Anarchy online with no monthly fee to pay. For those of you that have never seen Anarchy online I can say that it's a FRP kind a game and you build up your level and get stronger while you play missions that you chose. It all stands on this LARGE map that you need weeks in real life to cross if you are on foot with you character. You chose your character at the beginning and you make him look whatever you like... I hope you got the idea..
This game would also start with you choosing your character and your new life with almost no powers... you would create your own tricks like shooting fire balls out of your hand or lightning but the damage combinations and everything actually would totally depend on you and your power level. Lets say this would be a combination of Anarchy and Dragon ball Z... Special powers and so on....
There would be clans within the game that would be made of human players and the clans could battle with each other... in short: BIG world, you are a warrior with powers that depend on your training and devotion to your player, a lot of places, battles for cities (all battles would be HUMAN vs HUMAN no BOTS!) only animals would be computer controlled. and maybe other planets and on the planets GIANT maps again... TRAVELING ? FLAYING of course or maybe TELEPATHY . I hope you got the IDEA about all of this and I hope for a positive reply. thanks :nxs!:

The Idea is to create a GOOD fighting game with an easy control interface so you can KICK and PUNCH like in the MATRIX and be as fast as lightning or just fry your opponent with a special beam.... :starwars:

a few questions:

1. How many workers do you have?
2. Where in the world are you placed?
3. What kind of graphic engine are you planning to use?
4. As far as I can understand you are planning a online RPG/FPS. is that correct?
5. Is this game futuristic or medieval age kind of thing?
6. Will the character have more capabilities then those mentioned in the first txt you wrote? if so it will be boring. more details there please!
7. Are you pro or amateurs?
8. Are you planning on making a game that will compete wirth anarchy as a similarity with no monthly payment, or are you planning on making something new?

I need more info about the game before I can give you a decent opinion. ;)


P.S.: Why do you call yourself Spector? Is it because of Warren Spector?

ok let's see..

This is not really my project because it costs a LOT of money to put up a decent number of servers to run a world that big! If I was making this I would already get going . So this is why I need a lot of support so that the firm that is actually going to build this (not going to say witch firm yet at this time...) is going to consider building it. So the graphic engine.... not known yet but if the project lunches I will probably keep you posted...
This is going to be a futuristic thing and for now it's going to be something NEW!
The character is going to be able to FIGHT with what ewer he gets his hands on but I am putting his OWN powers in the centre because I am thinking that the player would learn his own tricks and nothing would be the same...
But I think that the most interesting thing would be to create a war between clans let's say between two planets... I am talking about HUGE numbers of players battling with each other or just 1 on 1, you choice...

Why do you not wanna reveal which firm is going to develope this?

The thing with the 1'on'1 is not a good thing because it it to short.
The giant battles require a huge amount of players (you have to include npc's)

To get such a big amount of players, you have to make something really new and different in comparisment to other games like this.

The game should be like that you can never play whenever you want. The servers are only open at certain times and will have more players at the time this way. But there is a problem with that because of the time difference in the world. There have to be competitons (ex. kind of like gladiator) that you can volunteer to in the game, so you train and train and you have to meet at the "arena" that is placed in the middle of the galaxy for everyone to view. The one who wins will recieve an amout of money so he can buy new equipment.

That's hust one of my many ideas.

not a bad idea the gladiator stuff...
there is no problem the point of this game is FREEDOM
you can do whatever you like if you have the skill !
As for the battles I think the clans will have to arrange the time and the place so... as for the 1 on 1... this game is going to be like one big WORLD as I sad and if you meet someone you don't like... 1 on 1 no other choice but he will have a hard time betting you if you are let's say level 1500 and he is 800 !

Game sounds good so far..., and the fact that its going to have no monthly fee is a great idea :thumbup: , you going to gonna have some monster funding behind you, Ofcourse, the game sounds fantastic now, lets hope it stays that way ;)

btw, how long will it be in developement?, and whats your target date of release?
