dvd drive discussion

asking if there is a dvd drive need is a fairly good question,because in case you guys havent noticed alot of companys are starting to venture in the realm of putting games on dvds instead of regular cd,for example mgs 2:subsatnce, there was a debate in the begining on wether or not put it on 10 freakin cds or put on 2 dvds. which would you rather have? in the near future i belive all games will be put on dvds especially any game that you would put "ALOT" of time in.

Hmm are you forgeting the xbox and ps2 both formats are dvd,
and most new computers are shiped with a dvd rom :bangin:

Mgs2:substance is actually on 5 DVD cd's, thats why i didnt get it...

In the uk most games are now in a dvd case,
And i think its for the best, who needs a big box just for a cd or 2

ALL new games are in DVD cases, i dont now of any that arnt

and yes, games SHOULD come out on DVD's (at least the ones that have enough data to fill them) and DJ, I would certainly reccomend byuying a DVD-Drive, I got one and I'm happy with it, they cost shite now anyway...

carnage i ahev me a dvd drive,this thread was created by bucky cause i stated that games are going to be put on dvd soon.i hqave had mine for close to 2 and half years and i havent had a single problem with it yet. but definetly soon enough dvd drives are going to be required if u want to saty in the gameing world,and on a side note, can i ask you what is your avatar ive been staring at it for about 16 sec whihc for staring at a avtar is way too long.
