Since I think GH is great I have it on my allowed sites in adblock. I don't use flashblock anymore though, too much of a hazzle. I do use X marks and smarterfox though which are awesome.

I prefer the Opera browser, so no Adblock for me. And Gazz is right, we should support the site and thus accept ads a bit.

I do want to make clear that I have adblock on all other sites I visit (with the exception of some opensource sites ofcourse). Other sites can kiss my ass.

Fair enough, I primarily use ABP and Flashblock to conserve my already piss poor bandwidth.

But does Gamershell really suffer as a result of me blocking ads? Wrongly or rightly, I have always assumed the ads were pay per click, and hence merely displaying them (i.e. not blocking them with ABP et al) brings no financial benefit to Gamershell. Conversely in order to benefit Gamershell, wouldn't I have to click on these ads which are largely irrelevant to my interests? Surely this is the antithesis of what advertising is fundamentally about!

Erm, it is an article about Opera 9 (I use 10 off course, wich beats FF 3.5 in usability en comes close to that one in speed). And I know that Opera also has its ways to block stuff. But I rarely visit overadvertising sites, and blocking for all sites except GH and A4T seems a bit silly to me.
