Everybody Needs to Pitch in! CoD:MW2 Issues!

Well then, it seems as it Infinity Ward has given us PC gamers the royal 'fuck-you' in their decision to NOT SUPPORT DEDICATED SERVERS. I don't know why in their right minds they would decide to screw us over in favor of Xbox 360 gamers by integrating their lame-ass match-making service into our PC editions. Call of Duty 4 is still getting a TON of play from everybody who owns it; and the dedicated servers have always made multiplayer a pleasure, but without them; we're left with limited game types; no customizable server rules, no admin abilities, and a big load of Xbox-inspired bullshit! I realize that Xbox is probably the most popular gaming platform and the game is probably geared towards that because of it; but Jesus Christ what the hell did we do to deserve it?! All PC gamers looking forward to CoD:MW2 need look no more; it's not gonna be worth it.

CoD:MW2 will definitely be a great game to play; but only if you're gonna stick to single player. If you're going to buy MW2; don't. Go pirate it off of somebody who did. If you do buy it; don't support multiplayer. Just don't. You buy it; you play singleplayer. And you ONLY play singleplayer. We're not giving in to this load even if we can't play multiplayer. And that's how we're going to win. Everybody buying the game is going to play singleplayer, and only singleplayer. Maybe if Infinity Ward sees that nobody is playing MW2 Online because of the servers; they'll patch it in. Those who support our cause; sign this petition: Dedicated Servers for CoD:MW2 Petition and be proud that you're helping yourself and, indeed, the rest of the PC gaming community.

Wow i haven't been on these forums for a fair few years but i came to post the exact same news as you. I'm gutted they've done this to a great game, i'm active on the offical forums trying to keep the movement going and posting the news on gaming forums all over the net.

I know they say that this is IW's doing but, I think that Activision had to have some part in it. I mean look at their record lately, no LAN in SC2 and most likely D3 as well, $10 price hike for MW 2, WoW requiring bnet, Kotick's countless stream of bs, and now this?

Yes, I realize that SC and WoW are Blizzard but, Activision owns them.

Personally, I didn't like MW. It is just not open enough for me. I almost thought about buying MW2 but with the price hike and now no dedicated servers, no mods, no player made maps, etc. all this equals no community! And I refuse to get it for a console! So, I won't be getting it either.

Tis a shame devs/publishers forget that PC gamers are PC gamers because the consoles just are not the same! When Activision/IW/Blizzard remembers this, I might just buy one of their games again.
