I like German games in generall..it started back in golden Amiga times..and carry on till nowadays..titles like Settlers, Albion, Gothic I, II..and a lot of others. I know german developers have some special sense for great looking graphic a their games are highly playable. It's pity that translation to english (or other languages) always take too long. I almost went mad because of delay of Gothic I and Gothic II which is by my opinion better than Morrowind.
You should know I am from Czech Rep. and I am unpleasant with relations between Germany and Czech Rep. I think that this is blame of politicians, which makes relations tense. I share this opinion with several of my German friends. But to answer your question - Germans games are great and I like them

German games: many good ones, but unfortunately not in the 'right' language
German developers: i can't recall THAT many, but the big ones are pretty good the people: seemed fairly friendly and hospitable when i was in germany a few years ago, so that's good the politics: i dont follow german politics much, so to avoid making dumb judgements i'll just not comment the country: it took too god damn long for the bus to cross the country, so you might want to make it a bit smaller the lanugage: i had german for about 4-5 years in school, and it's pretty incredible how little i remember, hehe my favorite games with german origin would easily have to be gothic 1 and 2. I just wish they didnt spend that much time on the english voices, so we'd have the game earlier, and maybe people would find it even prettier. Gothic 1 was released in europe and the states, luckily...

Yeah, some good German games, Gothic, Blitzkrieg, Sudden Strike, almost all CDV games are German. Gothic 2 is available at...Certain places, by an alternate mean though.
