nolf2 or me?

im having problems with nolf2 demo, when i try to play i get an error stating i need directX 8.1 (which i have) and have a video card that supports tnl(i dont even know what that is)
i have a nvidia tnt 2 card. i'm thinking that's the cause of my problems? am i right?
i dont know too much about computers. help

pentium 4
1.6 ghz
tnt2
512 mb ram

install latest official drivers from nvidia and pray....

Hi,

You said you have DirectX 8.1.. do you have DirectX 8.1b? There was a minor release, it may require that.

Try that, and if not, re-install DirectX again, then graphics card drivers.

I think Nvidia TNT 2 does not suport Transform and lightning. The first card of nvidia that suport T&L is the Geforce. Now you know what to ask for chrismas.

a geforce 1 should be nearly free on ebay.. get a geforce 4 4200 instead, if you can't afford the 4600

(ATI 9700)

anyway...

I have a GF4 Ti4600 from PNY and are pretty happy with it...
But if you confused between buying a GF4 Ti4600 or ATI 9700
I would say ATI....
