A SWOWW2 demo...

Now that a demo is coming out friday we can finally learn if this new expansion will be cool...or stupid.


To lead up to the release why don't we start a "discussion" of our thoughts about the newest BF1942 expansion.

I won't even bother going into another rant. Jetpacks=f**king stupid. C-47=cool, but it's modeled wrong, and it should have been in the original. Another $20 expansion to fill EA's pockets even more=you're a sucker if you buy this crap.

There was one mod that tried to implement jet packs and it didnt work very well, however it might work a lot better as EA and DIce have the sdk

Personally I like BF. I have all of the big mods and both Regular and RTR. However I think this latest expansion pack is sick. Releasing shite that has 0% accuracy (granted BF is not a real simulation) but this addon really takes the piss.

It has jetpacks (ala tribes). Jets that were invented after the war (some nearly a decade after). More huge bombers as if the ones in it didn't do enough damage.

Talk about a monopoly. After two or so years now they haven't helped the community one bit and still no sign of an SDK for the game. EA is really doing a good job at stifling the games communities and monopolising things (yes I know EA didn't make the game, but you can be sure as hell they are the ones saying when and if things can be released).


Oh and btw, who needs a jet pack when the latest patch introduced the famous "superman" bug, meaning that you can fly all over the map without any aids.

I agree with you! EA and Dice have not been helpful at all to the mod community! I will give the demo a shot but as for buying the entire expansion, I see no point as the mods that are coming out for BF are foing to kick the crap out of any expansion EA will release

Well I think it stinks, the new goblin attack fighter is utterly useless at such high speeds the "water buffalo" is a stupid pile of flaming crap

the new launchable grenade explodes way to fast and arcs way to low
