Hi
I am about to buy a laser gun for a pal who has recently invested in some shootemup games...... I have narrowed the choice down and i think i'm probably choosing between Mission Titan Gun and Scorpion 2 - both have recoil, PS1 & 2 compatible and G-con... but i just read somewhere that laser guns dont work properly with flatscreens TVs Is this true?? and how bad is the problem?? shroom (despondent, now dreams of gun play in huge TV may be shattered) |

the tv has nothing to do with it really, when u start up the playstation you get a target to shoot at with the gun, when you do this it alligns the gun with the playstation, so the TVs dimentions dont really matter. ive been using G-con guns since they where out on the SNEZ and ive evan used HUGE TV walls in pubs for tournaments and its all worked fine and dandy.
ive always used the "real Arcade" gun with kick back. kick back guns can be a little heavy and harder to aim cos the lazor is sometimes 2 inchs below the top barrol to leave room for recoil mechanism so this makes aiming a little hard. so i have two, ive got my "Real Arcade" for showing off and for realism, but when im in semi finals in pubs.....well when i did like 3 years ago on the PS1 then id sometimes use the official playstation gun because it was lighter and easyer to aim, only problem is it dnt have a peddel. also the "real arcade" has a peddle which is its best feature cos it leaves you to be able to position your hands on the gun in the most comfortable and easyest position for use cos you dont have to have your hand on all the buttons n stuff. hope this helps, Fielder (Fielder5757@hotmail.com) |
